The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) is the country's leading professional association of Fee-Only financial advisors-highly trained professionals who are committed to working in the best interests of those they serve. Our rich history began in 1983 when a group of advisors simply wanted to serve their clients without muddling the relationship with commissions.
NAPFA has long been a vocal advocate for the Fee-Only financial planning profession and the public. The organization has collaborated with other organizations to advocate for legislation and industry-wide policies that would create a financial planning profession while extending the fiduciary standard of care to all practitioners offering investment advice.
We make it easy for you to initiate contact with only advisors that may be a match to your needs. Save advisors to your favorites and then send them your contact preferences and details about your financial planning needs in just a few clicks. You can even send your list to your printer or email. Have firms follow up with you directly by allowing your name and contact information to be released.
The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) believes those providing financial planning services must be comprehensive in their advice, and display a high level of competence. A NAPFA financial planner will develop a short and long term plan that includes estate planning, education funding, tax planning, cash flow and debt management, retirement planning, investments and insurance.
If you're applying as a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor or NAPFA Associate, make sure the current version of your firm's ADV is posted on the SEC IAPD website.
