We started out as a small, husband-and-wife team in Waldorf, Maryland, and have grown into a multi-technician business with two locations (we're now in Lexington Park & Waldorf) serving Charles, Calvert, Saint Mary's, Prince George's, and lower Anne Arundel counties.
Owner Dale Kelley decided to attend Black Magic Chimney Sweep School in Stowe, Vermont as a result of an advertisement he came across in Mother Earth News magazine. Finishing school, he became Maryland's first certified chimney sweep, and started sweeping chimneys on the weekend with his wife, Rona.

Magic Broom is a family-owned and -operated, comprehensive chimney care provider located in Waldorf and Lexington Park, Maryland. We are members of the National Chimney Sweep Guild (NCSG) and are certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA), The National Fireplace Institute (NFI), The Institute for Research in Construction (IRC), and the CSIA's Certified Dryer Exhaust Technician (CDET) division.

Have had an excellent experience with this company so far and would recommend them above any other hearth and chimney place I've dealt with locally. Glenn in the showroom has been very responsive and helpful with getting my stove and the installation by Bryan and Mike was top notch. Everyone from beginning to end has been extremely helpful and courteous...I can't speak highly enough of the staff. Thank you Glenn, Bryan and Mike!!

Robert & Dustin were awesome, they were very professional. They answer every question I asked, both of them were very knowledgeable about my pellet fireplace. What I was most pleased about was they both had mask on and removed their shoes at they door with no problem. They were respectfully of my home.

Zach Lawrence was my technician and boy, he delivered. From punctuality to cleanliness to product knowledge, I couldn't ask for a better installation experience.
I appreciate that he took pictures of the work done on my roof as well. I have no problem calling upon him again for my next chimney/fireplace project!
