Innerglass interior storm windows are significantly more effective at insulating your home and lowering your heating and cooling bills than traditional exterior storm windows. Innerglass windows are 5 times tighter than exterior storms, because outside storm windows must be ventilated (you know, the weep holes) to get rid of the condensation that has already happened.
The Innerglass Storm Window mounts on the inside of the stops of the primary window, where it seals tightly, eliminating drafts, condensation & noise problems. It conforms to the window opening and pops in and out easily without tools. Cut the header channel to fit inside the top of your window frame and secure the channel in place.
The Innerglass Compression Window is a vinyl framed, Glass Interior Storm Window that mounts on the inside of your primary window using Compression-Fit technology. We got compression interior storm windows in 2011, and they have worked perfectly since. They are easy for one person to install, and are the best solution for historic homes. Our home was built in 1815, and I love the old squiggly-glass windows. But even with exterior storm windows, they leak! The interior storms from this company are perfect. They disappear visually and they keep the house snug. And, years later, I needed some replacement clips to have on hand and of course the owner is just sending them to me at no charge. Great service.

I purchased glass interior storm windows almost 20 years ago for two rooms with leaded glass sash and casement windows. The original windows were pretty but worthless in the winter for retaining heat. Innerglass's interior storms made an enormous difference--it was actually comfortable to be in the space in the colder months.
More recently, for a different house, I had two large acrylic frames made to cover two sets of bifold doors that are not needed in the winter for access. Again, the new interior storm "windows' cut down on draftiness and made the interior space more comfortable.

We have owned Innerglass windows for the last ten years. These inserts have kept our 200 year old house warm while still maintaining the beauty of the original windows. The are practically invisible when installed and easy to remove for cleaning. Customer service is excellent. I Highly recommend both the product and the service.
