Hot-dip galvanization is a commonly used industrial metal finishing process in which fabricated steel or iron is dipped into a vat or kettle of molten zinc in order to form a tightly bonded alloy coating. Hot-dip galvanizing provides excellent protection against the harmful effects of corrosion and abrasion, which can prolong the life of the galvanized material.
Media blasting is a fast and economical approach for removing paint and rust. Layers of paint that would take days or weeks to manually remove simply vaporize at the end of our blasting gun. Blasting uses a large volume of compressed air to pressurize the media in a hopper and then pushes it through the gun's nozzle onto the part's surface to remove paint and expose a bare metal surface.
Powder Coating is a method of applying a decorative and protective finish to a wide range of parts and materials. The powder coating process uses very fine dry particles of resin with the pigment color of your choice.

The resin powder is applied with a spray gun similar in concept to applying solvent based paint; however, powder coating uses an electrostatically charged technique in which the powders are charged as they move through the spray gun causing them to stick to the grounded part just like metal to a magnet. This allows the powder to adhere to the part through the next step: curing.
1. Preparation: Each piece is received disassembled (unless prior arrangements have been made). Each piece is de-greased to remove residue grease, oil, and dirt from the piece. After the piece is clean and dried we then sandblast each piece to remove old paint, rust, and prepare the surface for coating.
Powder is a dry coating. Instead of being dissolved or suspended in a liquid medium, such as solvent or water, powder is applied in a dry granular form. This material is a little finer than ground pepper but coarser than flour, and is applied directly to the surface to be coated.

The powder is created by blending the various components (binder, resins, pigments, fillers and additives) and processing them through an extruder into a continuous mass. This homo-genous mass is cooled and broken into small chips, which are then ground into the powder. Each particle contains within it the necessary components for reforming into the finished coating.

This place deserves more 5 star reviews because they are excellent. I've received multiple excellent quality parts from Champion and their span of color and finish offerings is BROAD. With a $100 minimum they'll coat a whole lot of material for you for a minimal cost.
Easy/friendly service and in a time where everyone is wearing masks, they've been doing it for years so it's natural! (You gotta wear masks when painting!) So it's nice and safe during these trying times.
I consider them a real asset to my business when we need powder coating work done for our computer enclosures.
