Services
CJD E-cycling is a family-owned recycling company geared to accommodate the needs of Illinois residents due to the new law set forth banning electronic waste in landfills. We will make it our mission to keep as much as possible out of the landfills and put it back into our community to become new and refurbished materials.
CJD is a multifaceted business that spans many of the community's needs, from scrap metal purchasing to selling affordable, refurbished electronics to their community. Take a look inside the CJD E-Store, which is open to the public to purchase refurbished electronics such as flat-screen TV's, laptop computers, and full computer systems at reasonable prices.
CJD Ecycling was established as an Electronics Recycling Center in 2012 and has also expanded into the ITAD industry. CJD Ecycling is a processor and recycler of electronics with strict adherence to federal, state, and municipal guidelines for proper handling of electronic assets, in the Metro East.
Our goal is to contribute to a greener Earth by providing a legal means for companies and citizens of the Metro East, St. Louis, and surrounding areas to dispose of their electronic goods. The fee for flat screen computer monitors ranges from $2.50-$5 depending on size and model. The fee for CRT computer monitors not accompanied by a tower ranges from $5-$10 depending on the size and model.
When it comes to getting rid of your old electronics, your privacy is of the utmost importance. No one should be able to access your data without your consent. At CJD, we specialize in legally compliant data destruction services that ensure the security of your most valuable data. Data destruction is the process of destroying the data stored on electronic devices to make it unreadable and inaccessible to unauthorized parties.

Do NOT ever use CJD e-cycling in Edwardsville. I held a Cub Scout camp a week ago where we asked for electronic donations for the Cubs to take apart. Some did a really good job and others……. Not so much.
Took the pieces to CJD today only to be yelled at for a solid 10 minutes in front of my children because “they didn’t take these apart right” and “you aren’t teaching them anything”.
I will never use them again and I will encourage others not to use them. When the onslaught was over we got in the truck to leave and my daughter said “sorry that lady yelled at you”.

This morning 08/03/2020, I had both of my teenage daughters use my truck to recycle aluminum cans they have been collecting. How they were treated by the lady who helped them today was uncalled for! If you treat customers like this, how do you stay open? It is none of her business if the grill and my truck is broken or not. You do not yell and someone else's kids like that. Especially those with the initiative to go out and make some money. I work in IT, and we send tons or recycling to CJD. I will recommend someone else in the future.

Overcharged me for a used monitor. Prices on eBay from 10 or more vendors at $35-$40 with free shipping. They charged me $55 plus tax. Watch their prices. Some things are overpriced. I am a repeat bulk buyer too. Didn’t seem to mater to them. Their loss. Spent thousands there buying monitors over the last few years. I guess I won’t anymore.

Since the world of electronic hardware has changed rapidly, it stands to reason that the world of electronic hardware recycling probably is evolving constantly. When I googled for drop-off sites for three old inkjet printers, I discovered a new place I'd never heard of, in the countryside about ten minutes NE of Edwardsville. When I arrived, it looked sort of like an old repurposed seed company office, though I have no idea what it actually was. A knock on the front door summoned a representative, who helped me carry in the items. Quick, painless, and responsible disposal.
