Exceptional! Be smart and book in advance (24 hour if you can)- Big Island can be challenging to get a ride if you don’t plan ahead. If you are impatient pick another place to be frustrated- no room for that on Hawaii! RJay is rock solid! A++ service!

R Jay was an excellent driver and host when we visited Kona this past week. When we arrived, he waited patiently even though I hadn't realized my phone was still on airplane mode and had missed his calls! On our ride to the rental car pickup he was very professional and friendly, telling us about the area and suggesting a good place for lunch. He also picked us up on our way back to airport, adjusting to an almost 3-hour plane delay on short notice (less than 24 hours)! I highly recommend this business and R Jay as a driver.

I could barely get a taxi for the time I wanted, I had to really push, then the guy made it seem like they did me a favor??
The taxi was On time, but the van reeked of smoke, the seats are SO dirty, this vehicle was un sanitized. Driver not wearing a mask, & had to ASK to put it on. Super unfriendly guy, barely did anything to assist with our luggage.
Driver took a long way to airport which made the fare more expensive, and then only wanted cash “machine broken”???? That’s a scam for cash, luckily we had enough money …

R Jay was super nice and accommodating to my family! We used him twice on our last trip to Kona. Due to a rental car shortage, we were unable to get a vehicle the first day of our trip. R Jay met us at the airport, and picked us up the next day for a ride to the rental agency. He was so personable and always on time! When Uber and others were charging $100+ for a ride from the airport to downtown Kona, he was charging his usual rate. I cannot recommend R Jay enough!

While going around Kailua-Kona, we utilized R Jay Taxi for transportation between the airport, as well as to two tour pickup locations.
R Jay was always on time and very communicative to ensure he was showing up at the right times.
Excellent driver and enjoyable conversation. He was happy to share his personal knowledge of the area, especially if we had any questions, and make recommendations for places to check out.
For two of the rides, R Jay himself was not available, but sent out another of his crew and they were just as on time and great.
I would highly recommend R Jay and his services

We needed a Taxi to and from an event one evening while on Vacation. I contacted RJ Taxi and explained what I needed and exchange a couple of text messages.
Our drive, Aida, turned up exactly on time, took us to the event in a very new model Mini Van and was waiting exactly on time to take us back to our Rental. Completely hassle-free and exactly what we needed.
Note that this is an actual TAXI service not a shared ride service or private car so it has a meter and you will be charged accordingly. The upsides here are that the fare is transparent to you and you can be assured that the vehicle

We used R. Jays today, and we couldn’t have been happier. We called the day before (which I would highly recommend right now). The driver showed up right on time, and he couldn’t have been nicer. He told us they are working 16-17 hours some days to keep up w demand. There are a LOT of tourists here due to vaccinations and people being comfortable with traveling. Please keep this in mind if you call for service the same day. They are good people doing the best they can, be kind.
