I ordered from lakeside lumber because I was going to start an interior project in my house, I am 65 years old and I live on Skyline Blvd which can be at times a difficult road. Daniel the driver was extremely kind and sent me texts regarding the estimated time of my delivery. To my surprise he offered to put all my material in my garage with his fork truck. I was skeptical at first but the young man showed excellent skill and was able to get all 3 of my lumber packages inside without damaging the lumber! Lakeside was an excellent experience, and being old it was wonderful to see such a young man

Lakeside is very competitive in pricing and product availability. However, the sales support staff is a hit/miss. One time they completely swapped my order between 2 different types of deck flooring. The other time I called and ordered ahead and finished payment and I was told the order will be filled up in an hour. Well, turns out the order gets filled once you show up there and wait that hour. For the orders that are paid ahead, I do not see why they are unable to schedule pickup time. Such an inefficient way of running things. The gentleman on the phone had no empathy or any desire to be accommodating

I used Timber Tech composite decking and a Fortress cast-iron railing.
The store has all of the needed supplies and tips, all under one roof.
And if needed, they offer quick and professional delivery.

We had just the best experience with Tuan at Lakeside Lumber. He takes customer satisfaction very seriously, and it shows. Sometimes patience is the best, or most noticeable trait a person can have. Surprised there aren't more reviews---this yard is the Mecca for siding and millwork. Lots of options, from clear vertical grain doug fir to tight-knot cedar, and they have an in-house machine for dip-priming stock both sides.
For Salem customers, and perhaps other cities as well, if you can wait for the weekly truck run, delivery is free. In my experience, prices beat downvalley retailers. Your experience may differ.
