Ventura Hydraulic & Machine Works, Inc. is a modern manufacturing and fabrication facility of offshore and onshore hydraulic systems. We design and build rig gripping and skidding equipment. Our Series 400 Ratcheting Jacking Claw products are in use worldwide, in areas such as the Santa Barbara Channel and the North Sea.

Completed in January of 2004, this skid-based, "A-frame" spooler has capacity of reeling in/out cable using a spool that has a 130" diameter flange. Our stand is built to hold a reel with a maximum weight of 62,000 lbs. on a loaded spool. This spooler works free of an operator once it is loaded and started, so a crew member is free for other duties.
The system includes a 32 bore cylinder that is mounted to a support structure. Our 54 diameter cable/chain sheave is clevis mounted to the cylinder. An Anchor (Chain) Stopper Assembly and a Locker (Chain) Stopper Assembly are mounted to the upper and lower side of the support structure and are used to engage and hold the chain under load.
