Schneider Fabrication was founded by Gary Schneider in 1988 doing welding repair work part time out of a pole barn at his home in Fowler, MI while working another full time job. The business grew rapidly adding employees and to the size of the building several times. In the spring of 2007 we became Schneider Fabrication, Inc.

Premium Sure Step(R) decking is stronger, more durable, offers a limited lifetime warranty, and is also Made In Michigan! Captains Choice Docks - Light, Strong, Maintenance Free, and EASY to install!
The color options are khaki, white, tan, and gray. It also includes two 6' heavy duty stand pipe every 8', 10', or 12' of dock, standard quick connect, one cross arm, two mud pads, and all hardware necessary to install the dock section (two Complete Pipe Assemblies are needed for 20' or 24' dock sections).
Commercial quality stationary, floating, and rolling docks. HD Series docks are available with with Anodized Aluminum decking or Premium Sure Step(R) decking in three color choices, gray, tan, and white. They also include two 6' heavy duty stand pipe every 8' or 16' of dock, heavy duty pipe brackets, two mud pads, and all hardware necessary to install the docks (see: Dock Accessories).
Sure Step(R) Decking is a vinyl decking. It has UV protection, so it will not fade or get hot. It has eco-friendly slots and no slip grip. It is safe to leave Sure Step(R) decking out all year without sustaining any damage caused by the sun or snow. Each vinyl decking panel is 1 1/8" thick, and is available in sizes 12" x 36" or 12" x 48".

Purchased 19 sections of their 8 ft HD series dock with sure step . The product and craftmanship is second to none. Beautiful strong and best pricing around. Also the team at Schneider is phenomenal to deal with, courteous and easy to deal with. We made a mistake in estimating the pipe length and needed longer, Schneider fabrication is going out of their way to accommodate. I highly recommend.

I posted a very bad review because I was very disappointed in my solar panel, however I took my anger out on the wrong person. I should’ve taken it out on my installer, who did not follow through. Jerry Schneider, owner of the company, called me to tell me he was sending a new solar panel. Come to find out I’m not actually even his customer, I am my installers customer. So it was nice of him to send a replacement. Hopefully I will get the new solar panel Monday at the latest.

We bought our dock several years ago. We were very happy with it except two of our dock pieces broke. We have the flow thru plastic ones. We have had several people purchase from your company since they have seen ours. But the problem is that we have made several calls left messages and still no response. Now we are very disappointed in this company. They do not seem to care about their customers after a purchase. We will not recommend them again.

Bought a roll in pier. Looks and feels great definitely a quality piece. They were great to work with and responded quick to any questions I had. Everthing was just as promised and the whole process was very straight forward. I live by Fort Wayne Ind and it was well worth my 3hr drive each way to deal with them. We purchased a 20 section aluminum dock back in 2016 and have been very pleased with the performance and ease of putting it in and taking it out. We love that it doesn't get hot like our old wood dock and the solar LED lights let us find our way home at night. Captains Choice delivered and installed at our cabin. Great service and company. Looking to purchase lifts from them now.

I live on a 11,000 acre lake that can be brutal when the wind picks up.. expressed my concern about holding up to wind and waves, took owners word in quality and purchased 106 feet of pier including ramp sight unseen. Had a huge storm 1 week after installation, pier came through unscathed, neighbors pier different manufacturers not so well. Everyone who sees it gives compliments on looks and quality. Ended up also purchasing a pontoon lift from them as well. Couldn't be happier with entire system.

I planned on writing this about 4 years ago when we first got our new dock but decided to wait to be sure that we had no issues with it. Sometimes when you make a big purchase, you are happy in the beginning and then something breaks and you wish you'd never bought it. I can honestly say that we are more than satisfied with this purchase. The dock is of very high quality. Gary and Eric were great to deal with, the price was quite a bit lower than any competitor we spoke to since we were buying direct from the manufacturer and they delivered it ahead of schedule.
