Anderson Bed & Breakfast
Anderson Bed and Breakfast is 2 blocks south of K-State and 3 blocks west of Aggieville and City Park. We have the best lodging reviews in Manhattan due to our warm welcome, charming porches, chickens in the backyard (yes, laying fresh eggs for breakfast), and a lovely garden that is a bird watcher's paradise.

In the fall, sitting on the front porch overlooking the tree-lined, brick street in an old university neighborhood, you may enjoy listening to the KSU marching band practice, and watching students walk to class or Aggieville. Our music room has great acoustics and a well-tuned grand piano. We pamper our guests with bathrobes, en-suite bathrooms, walk-in closets, vaulted ceilings, high-speed Wi-Fi, and HD flat screen TVs with cable.
Services
Your hosts at the Anderson Bed and Breakfast, Phil and Dawn Anderson, have complementary personalities and talents. Phil loves to entertain and is a great cook and handyman. Dawn is obsessed with cleanliness and creating beautiful spaces for guests. The Anderson Bed and Breakfast is located just two blocks from Kansas State University and Aggieville.
You may park on the street in front of our bed and breakfast or we have a well-lit parking lot off the alley behind our B&B. To get to our parking lot from 17th street, turn west on Fairview Avenue (1 block south of Fairchild Avenue). One house down Fairview, turn right into the alley. Straight ahead you will see a red garage with Anderson Bed & Breakfast sign.

Anderson Bed and Breakfast is truly a gem! Dawn and Phil are wonderful hosts, very kind and attentive. The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious, generous portions made from local ingredients. Located within walking distance to many great restaurants. Highly recommended this lovely place!

Perfect find to celebrate our 10 wedding anniversary! This place is perfect for anyone looking for a place to stay in Manhattan. The house was built in 1910 but renovated completely by the current owners. They make you feel very welcome and definitely take care of you! You'll love the house inside and out and the fresh eggs from their chickens for breakfast is a bonus! Thank you to the owners for sharing their story with us and making us feel so special.

We stayed here recently for a wedding.
Everything about this establishment was enjoyable!
The decor is fresh, clean and crisp with unique artwork and furniture pieces in each room. The breakfast was gourmet quality- ex. homemade quiche, fresh fruits, fresh asparagus, and homemade dessert breads all served within a setting of modern European artwork inspired by the owners' travels. The proprietors were most welcoming and helpful! Excellent service!

Truly a hidden gem!! We hope to return soon!

I had a really great stay here and plan to stay again when I can bring my family. The Andersons are excellent hosts, very personable and friendly (but they were not too much for me, an introvert). and their bed and breakfast has a fun and eclectic vibe, which makes the dwelling feel modern even though it's a historic home. I love that they have private and well-lit parking in the back with a nice walkway to the home (it's in a popular part of town and street parking can be difficult). I thought the breakfast of avocado toast, sausage, and fruit was very good. Overall, I definitely recommend staying

Pretty nice place to stay right by the college compass. I actually stayed here with my friend and his dad and we all liked it. It definitely had an old feel to it but was dirty or outdated. The place was a little hot but it wasn't real bad. Overall if you in Manhattan and need a b and b to stay at I recommend this one. The campus is so close you can walk to it!

Dawn and Phil accommodated my 3 sisters and me for an overnight. The home was beautiful and clean and quiet and relaxing! It is a little farm oasis right in the heart of the Little Apple and just a stone's throw from the KSU Alumni Center and Student Union. We stayed in the Van Maanen suite, which was very private and comfortable. The mattress was SO comfortable! It's also the perfect size for a family of 4!

Breakfast was homemade, delicious, hearty, balanced, and ample, with a variety of drink offerings and plenty of coffee! I highly recommend the Anderson B&B and hope to

Great atmosphere, fine hospitality, excellent food. This is your quintessential B&B. The historic house is has been upgraded with modern conveniences, but maintains the character of a 100 year old farm house. The location is perfect for a walk through campus or straight to Aggieville without the hassle of parking.

First impressions are everything. The large house with three guest rooms, two smaller queen size en suite ($129) and a much larger king size with a separate vestibule and sofa ($149), is well kept inside and out. A lovely 1920's stone and wood structure, the Andersons have unfortunately modernized the house extensively inside, losing most of the early 20th Century charm expected of a B&B. The furnishings are also predominantly modern and tastefully done, but they seem out of place in a B&B.

Dawn, the lady of the house, seemed very nice, but had to leave on errands when we arrived

What a wonderful place to stay! Very inviting and warm, and incredibly well decorated! We enjoyed the sounds of Mrs. Anderson playing piano and checking out the very spoiled coop of chickens they keep, which make amazing eggs, and the location could not be better. You'll never run out of chocolate chip cookies or wine, so if those are things you enjoy, the Anderson's have got you covered, on the House.
Breakfast in the morning was divine, we had homemade waffles, made from scratch Keesh, biscuit and gravy casserole and fresh fruit each day. Some days we ate at the crack of dawn others

What a gem in the Little Apple! My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting K-State. This is honestly the best place we have ever stayed! The Anderson's were amazing hosts and very accommodating of our early breakfast times. Phil's quiche and waffles were impeccable and they even gave us the recipe so we could make them at home! The VanMaanen Suite is huge and unlike other B&B's, with it's contemporary decor. My daughter loved the separate sitting area with the day bed. I loved the bathroom, with it's large shower. After staying here, I don't know why anyone would choose a hotel.

Amazing accommodations for my daughter's graduation weekend! Perfectly situated within Manhattan, the Anderson Bed and Breakfast was truly among the best inns we've stayed at; with well-furnished large rooms, fantastic décor, and wonderful hosts! The owners went above and beyond to make our stay and reception a weekend to remember!
