Founded in 2011 by two Cedar Rapids natives, our first shop was located in the 1500 block of first avenue east. Since 2013 we have served Cedar Rapids from inside of Lindale mall. Come visit us near the Food Court, right by T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular in Lindale Mall. CR Cell Phone Repair was founded by two Operation Iraqi Freedom veterans.
Using their knowledge of electronics gained through their military occupational specialty they started the business out of a backpack and have since gone on to serve Cedar Rapids from two different shop locations in the last 7 years. We have been professionally repairing cell phones, tablets, and computers since 2011, but our experience goes deeper than that.

I came to get my phone screen repaired here. I made a mistake though, and needed to pick up my phone early. Jacob was very understanding and charged me only the $35 minimum labor fee for the time he had already spent working on it - I was more than fine with that, as I did feel I had wasted his time.
However, when he gave me my phone back, the back glass was now broken too. He said he broke it as he was taking off the front screen, and was planning on fixing it before getting it back to me. I don't know if that's something that's common when repairing phones, but it drastically reduced my ability

A couple weeks ago I had attempted to repair the screen on my cell phone after watching a couple of you tube videos. Unfortunately I received the replacement glass but no screen. Needless to say I took apart my phone and though I could just replace the glass. Ugh! I didn't have the time or the patience to mess with it, and I would have needed the housing and more parts and couldn't wait for them to get here since I was leaving out of town on business in 2 days.
I called CR Cell Phone Repair and spoke to the manager and explained the situation. He (Kitty I believe his name was) mentioned

I dropped my phone down a flight of stairs and the screen popped out in the corner and shattered. This place fixed it with no problem and it only took a couple of hours which was fine because they are in Lindale Mall and I had plenty of Christmas shopping to do. The employee at the counter (Lexy) was super friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced too! I would definitely take my phone here again.

If I could I'd give it 4.5 stars, I'll give it 5 stars because they do great work. Took my phone to the Apple Store but they wouldn't fix it since the frame was slightly bent. This store did it no problem. My only thing is that after a couple of days something didn't look right at the bottom of the LCD. It seemed like something that could easily be fixed no problem, but since I had put a screen protecter, it voided my 30 day warranty. They said I'd have to replace the whole screen which seemed completely unnecessary. Had I not put the screen on, it would've been good

I took a water damaged iPhone 4s to their 1st Avenue location and while the customer service and turnaround time were acceptable the quality of the work was not. Yes, the phone worked again, but it was obvious that the replacement parts they used were of low quality as was the reassembly of the unit. My phone has never been the same since.
1: The LCD and digitizer assembly is not flush with the outside bezel and home button causing some distortion around the top, right edges of the screen.
2: The screen has refresh rate problems causing fine horizontal lines to appear and disappear throughout
