Loafers glory is a great place to stay. Really unique history at the settlement, great walking trails on the property, and the hosts are some of the nicest people I have met. We felt instantly at home. 10/10 will be back to spend many more weekends.

If you're looking to relax and get away from it all, this is the place. Definitely a hidden gem of sorts in WV. Cozy and quiet quarters. The hosts were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable on the history of the area. The view of the landscape is breathtaking and really does put you at ease. You can do absolutely nothing or go out adventuring on foot or for a nice scenic drive. Great destination for anyone looking to recharge themselves. I can't thank the hosts enough. This will become an annual getaway for sure.

Teresa and Jeff are amazing host, the cabins are clean and well thought out. The property is incredible and has many sites to see with a lot of history. There are 2 new cabins getting ready to open soon. Take the time to visit the distillery and gain some useful history from both of them. Can't wait to go back.

Arbitrary rental restrictions. Very judgmental and will not rent to anyone. Be careful making plans they are not afraid to breach verbal contracts as well. I recommend choosing another location for your event as they cannot be trusted.

We left with a verbal contract saying the venue was ours. Please read the email that was sent to us....
Hi - well, I hadn't sent the contract. I didn't know quite how to handle
this, but being direct is always the best bet. Here goes ....
As you can tell from our low prices, we don't operate this business for
the money. It's more about sharing the place with others, and providing
something special - a memory of a lifetime - especially if it's a wedding
or major life event.
So, the other couple who wants the venue on that weekend is local and it
would mean a lot to them to have their ceremony

Very "clever" hospitable hosts. Hiking trails mapped out. Old farmstead to visit buildings. Small kitchenette so you can bring your own food to prepare. Would recommend either bringing 2 pair of shoes or a boot dryer so that when your shoes get wet from the dew on the hike you can have another dry pair to switch them out.

Beautiful 130 acre property owned by charming family. Don't miss an opportunity to stay here and explore. They have an original old 1700s farmstead down in the valley.
