How many of us ever give a thought to how the plumbing functions in our RV. Just like your permanent (anchored to the ground) home or even some human beings, they occasionally need a little "Black Tank Enema" to keep things running smoothly. One of the things all RV owners should do on a semi-regular basis is to do a little preventative maintenance on your septic system.
Since more rain and flooding is forecast through out central Texas for the rest of this week we thought it would be a fitting time to give you this "Rainy Day RV Living" video. We've also included some of our favorite "rainy day" activities to help keep your little ones entertained. Write letters (on real paper with real pens and pencils) to out-of-town relatives or friends.

Unfortunately, our trailer needed some emergency work done in town.
Fortunately, after the shop made the necessary temp repairs, we were able to secure a spot here. It was well priced and had long paved pull through sites with full hook ups. There are pecan trees and a bit of grass between the sites.
There are no picnic tables or fire pits which didn’t bother us much. There are showers and laundry machines which we did not utilize.

Years ago we went there and really enjoyed walking, feeding the ducks, geese, and feral cats. Now the parks roads are falling apart. There now is a sign not to feed the feral cats. The cats had no food or water when we were there but I got them water. It's cruelty not to have water for the cats. I petted 2 cats after giving them water. How would the city commissioners like going without water. I feel that there is no reason why people can't feed the cats except some people make a big mess. I usually have the cats just a small amount of treats when I fed them. Leaving no mess or food for the wild

We only got to stay here one night. It wasn't a scheduled stop. The grounds were well cared for. We didn't get to see much of the river, but it was nice looking. The sites are all paved and pretty level. Looked like almost all the sites are pull thru. Giles was very nice and helpful. He did everything remotely and texted what we needed. The sites are immediately outside a city park so you could just walk in to the park if you had kids. Also walking distance is a grocery store. And if you need it, a Walmart just a mile or so away.

Really nice quiet RV park along the river. Little street noise and park is perfect for picnic, walking, quite time or even frisbee golf. There are ducks on the river and bank and even a rooster to help wake you up.
Pads are concrete, level and most are under trees for nice shade. Owners are very friendly, helpful and easily contacted, even though not on site. The park and RV area are close enough to enjoy them and not be bothered by everyday life.

We needed an overnight stop and this was a welcoming retreat. Easy in and out and level site #17. We didn’t unhook our travel trailer and walked to Tractor Supply and McAlisters. Beautiful park across the street and beautiful little river at our doorstep. Loved this little park. Would stay longer if I was in the area again.

This RV park is the best place we have stayed at in central/west Texas. It is a small RV park, I think they have about 25 spots. The owner is so very nice and a pleasure to work with. WiFi is strong, clean bathrooms and showers. Laundry room is clean and great. If you are in the Brownwood area and want a relaxing place to stay; this is it. Walking and hiking trails, fishing, and frisbee golf (not that I play). This is our second time here and it won't be our last. I don't post many reviews, but I wasn't going to leave this park deserves. If I could give it a 10, I would. Happy RV
