With more than 140 years of combined experience in retinal health care, Georgia Retina's doctors have served the Metro Atlanta community and Middle and North Georgia since 1995. Our doctors and our staff of dedicated staff are committed to providing you and your family with the best care, utilizing the newest methods and technology available for the treatment of retinal diseases.
Dr. Jacobson was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and grew up in the city of Fairfield. After graduating from Dartmouth College, he attended the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, followed by a two-year retinal and vitreous fellowship at the prestigious University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
Dr. Walia was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in Tampa, Florida. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and attended medical school at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. Dr. Walia performed his ophthalmology residency at Emory University School of Medicine and later successfully completed a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Barnes Retina Institute/Retina Consultants of St. Louis.
