Classes are offered for children ages 5+, teens, adults, pre-professional dancers, and professionals in Central Oregon. Central Oregon School of Ballet is home to the longest running Nutcracker in Bend, OR - going on 34 years! COSB specializes in classical ballet training to dancers of any level.
Our program begins with Pre-Ballet (Ages 5-6) and has a curriculum based course for dancers ages 6 - 19 that trains and develops the next generation of dancers.We offer classes in Classical Ballet Technique, Pointe, Men's Technique, Partnering, and Variations. COSB also offers Adult classes for those wishing to begin ballet or those who want to continue their ballet education post-high school.

Services
To maintain quality of ballet instruction and performances space available in classes is limited. Pre-Ballet Classes are capped at 12 students and all other classes are capped at 22 students. Placement for Pre-Ballet and Beginning Ballet 7+ is secured on a first come first served basis. All other levels are placement by audition only and subject to space available in the appropriate level.
All Students are required to have their own make-up kit. COSB uses the Mehron Make-up Mini-Pro Student Make-up Kit for all their performances. It comes in three shades and it should be selected in the shade appropriate for the students skin tone. In addition to the make-up kit girls will need Revlon Crme lipstick in Ravish Me Red #654, black eyeliner pencil and black mascara.
Central Oregon School of Ballet is seeking a receptionist to start in a Part Time position (18 - 25 hours per week). Duties include answering the phone and some e-mails, accepting parents, surface cleaning, helping parents and students navigate and understand information sent out by the school.

My daughter has been enrolled at the Central Oregon School of Ballet (COSB) since 2017. We have stayed with the studio through the beautiful and thoughtful transition from the original owners (who operated COSB for more than 30 years) to Josh & Elizabeth, the current owners who bring a dedication and vitality to the studio that is needed for the present day. The classes and studio are professionally run with pride, and with a clear commitment to the craft and art. Elizabeth and Josh are raising the "barre" of ballet instruction in Central Oregon! These two are exceptional teachers, whose passion for ballet is only rivaled by their love of teaching and spreading the joy of dance. Excellent studio! The owners are very professional and personable. They strive to give their students the best learning experience they can, while also caring very much about building confidence and a love for ballet in their students. They take the art of ballet and translating that to their students very seriously and I feel that the investment of time and money we are making for our daughter could not be made better anywhere else.
