I started receiving cervical epidurals in the Atascadeto location in 2015. I only had one bad experience with having to wait more than 2 hours on one occasion and that was at the SLO office. I received several shots over a two year period and was finally getting real pain relief!!! I liked the NP Mellie Keene and saw her regularly. I am not a fan of Opioid pain medication and only take half a dose when absolutely necessary. Mellie was always ok with that and actually made me feel I was doing the responsible thing. In 2017 I moved away. I moved back at the end of 2019 and a couple of months ago

The office staff was excellent. When I met Dr. Patel all he wanted to do was shots in my back. Then he left on vacation without prescribing anything for pain. Hello this is Pain management. I hope his vacation was relaxing because I did nothing but cry for over a week!! This doctor seems to like to take in government bucks but doesn't like to actually treat the people. As you can tell I was miserable. So now I have to find another pain management doctor and since Lompoc has only two of them I know exactly where to go.

I can not recommend this place to anyone. I had my first horrible appointment a couple of months ago. I saw dr rayes. My friend goes to the slo office and she loves her dr so I decided to try this office because I live in Atascadero.
The dr that I was scheduled with was dr rejas. My first visit I had to wait over a hour. When they were finally ready for me I was taken to the back without even as much as a "I'm sorry." The dr was rude, condescending and he does not have a decent bedside manner he wouldn't listen to me speak and I was treated like a drug seeking patient even

If you want a practice that seems to specialize in overloading its employees, ignoring the HIPPA rules, treating its patients with disrespect, making mistakes but not acknowledging them or apologizing for them, keeping its patients waiting for an hour or more at each appointment, having a waiting room that is tiny, an office is dirty and cramped, and doctors who think nothing about increasing opiates but then telling you that you take too much.
If all this appeals to you? This is the practice for you.

Let me start by saying the fact that a pain management facility like this uses Yelp takes balls!

Why? Everyone they deal with is in chronic pain! Tough place to start right? Some patients should take this into consideration when they review, or just not bother.

Ok, I have had RSD for 7 years. I also have had neck surgery due degenerative discs and osteoarthritis, surgery on both shoulders and one knee. I have been getting pain management at USC because finding anyone capable in this county is hard.

Until my primary care doctor recommended someone to me because I was having severe neck and

I have never been treated so poorly. The doctor Dr. Kia and NP Angel were always respectful and caring and were good medical providers. Since this time, Dr. Kia has moved to another practice. NP Angel only works one day a week. I have needed pain Management for over15yrs. The office staff are rude and poorly trained and are not familiar with "THE PATIENTS BILL OF RIGHTS" unsupervised. The wait time with a appointment was 1-3hrs delayed on the average. After 4 scheduling errors for a epidural procedure my insurance cancelled the authorization. After questioning staff on the problems this

Stay away from this place. Doctors accept patients when they do not have capacity to treat patients.

They will only recommend services that they can offer themselves. You will not get the right treatment here unless it's something the treating doctor can perform himself.

This clinic is mismanaged. I was assigned a doctor who had no certification and when I called to inquire about this I was told, "he has tried to pass the test several times, but it's a really hard test". I asked for another doctor but was told I would have to see this guy first. Unfortunately, I sarcastically said, "isn't this like going before a judge in a court of law and having an attorney who couldn't pass the bar". This got back to the doctor in question who entered the examination room along with FIVE other people. He gave no introductions, no explanation

Avoid read reviews for the SLO office. Same company just another office to scam those of us in pain. Office wait times are awful. Appoints scheduling is a nightmare. They treat you like crap when they are the ones who messed up billing and appointments. Go anywhere else but here.

They also can't keep the same staff in the surgery center in SLO. Every time I went it was new faces. If that is not worrisome then I don't know what is.

The Doctor here is a genius! My sister-in-law was / has been in constant high pain for over ten years. with his work of managing medications and referral to Pain Management Center in San Luis Obispo, she has had some pain free days! Incredible and truly a miracle for someone with a laundry list as long as hers. I may only be the driver to get her to and from appointments, however I get the full set of results and these people are terrific. Thank you So Much!
