Bremerton Health & Rehabilitation Center is a leading provider of long-term skilled nursing care and short-term rehabilitation solutions. Our 125 bed center offers a full continuum of services and care focused around each individual in today's ever-changing health care environment. Bremerton Health & Rehabilitation Center has been serving Kitsap County since 1994.
We are conveniently located in a residential neighborhood one block from Harrison Hospital. We are surrounded by several parks, a church and shopping center. Our center is Medicare and Medicaid certified. I would like to say kudos for Bremerton Health and Rehab. Some homes think that the elderly don't care and don't notice the quality of food service.

Will not return phone calls. Have been trying to get my dad discharged for 3 weeks and they can’t seem to fax a simple referral for hospice. Don’t leave a message with their social services dept, as they say they don’t get them. I have never had this bad of an experience in my life. I just want my dad home before he dies and this place could care less.
Receptionist is kind and tried to help.

Ever since new administrative person came into facility there have been cases of covid, even after all have been vaccinated. 13 in just the last week and a half.
All strict guidelines have been followed through this entire pandemic. Till this new admin who has been bouncing from one facility to another that have had many active covid cases. Before her, no one had been getting covid. Strict guidelines are still being followed forall staff and now residents are to be in their rooms 24/7.
Someone should look into this new admin.

I worked here a couple years back and it was the most traumatizing unpleasant experience I ever had. I quit after 6 weeks because I couldn’t take it anymore. I still have nightmares. The stories of abuse and neglect are true. They will literally leave food trays sitting infront of patients WHO CAN’T EVEN FEED THEMSELVES. The food will just sit there and go straight into the garbage a few hours later. This place, when I worked there was always understaffed. The way the CNAs if you could even call them that, would talk to the residents and infront of them was just as sad as the level of care

If you have a loved one who needs care go elsewhere. I made the mistake of having my mother in law and father in law both at this excuse of a care facility. They allowed my dementia diagnosed FIL to be paraded around in nothing but an adult diaper. They billed us for care that should have been covered. They allowed my FIL's estranged daughter to check him out and move him to another facility the day we were going to take him home. My MIL didn't even get notified and she was in a room down the hall! We had clothing and health supplies dissapear. We have yet to receive compensation 4 months later

Do not work here. My husband was told to divorce me because he took a day off to take care of me. (I’m disabled) He even had a note from my doctor. They’ll tell you they’ll pay you a certain wage then just end up paying minimum wage. They’ll tell you they’re hiring full time but your shifts will only be 4 hours long. No wonder they’re chronically short staffed.

This facility allowed my stepmother to sit in her own bodily fluids and apparently overlooked her almost comatose state to the point that when my sister called 911 the hospital stated "had she not called-- our stepmother would have died either by the extreme dehydration and/or the severe infection".
The administration denies any direct responsibility, they manipulate the patient to sign documents when the patient is obviously not able to make a coherent decision. When the patient can't walk or feed themselves, the staff will place the plate of food across the room on a dresser 5 feet away from

I worked for HCSG which is the housekeeping contract they have in their building and I've seen it all. There hk has a high turnover rate which is sad. Non of the managers help pass any of the trays during meal times only when the state survey team is in there. On top of that they let any staff member work sick. Off seen staff walk around with mask on there face. A lot of the nurse staff is over worked and very under paid. On top of that HCSG NEVER PAID ME THAN THEY FIRED ME!

Do not work here, and do not bring your family here. My wife just finished putting up with working there for a year, I can honestly say that in that whole year my wife was overworked and underpaid. The staff is very disrespectful and very unorganized. I feel bed for the residents, I think they deserve better. Even though the building just went through a huge staff change, it wasn't enough to make a positive impacked. There's still terrible staff, and even corporate needs to be changed. I behoove you to continue your job/rehab facility search else where!
