Services
Our best resources in Steamboat are our physicians who truly care about their patients and are skilled in delivering care that is suited to the needs of each individual. Our physicians often act as your "health coach." No one ultimately understands your overall health better than your primary care physician.
When you face an injury or illness that requires immediate attention, but does not necessarily warrant a trip to the Emergency Room, our Urgent Care Center is your best option. As Ski Town USA, our community draws an influx of beginner, intermediate and professional skiers and snowboarders and the potential for injury cannot be discounted.
Dr. Speer is a Board Certified Family Physician in practice for over 15 years. He and his family moved to Steamboat in 2011 because of their love of the community and outdoor opportunities. He practices full-spectrum Family Medicine. Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Steamboat. She was very pleased to have the opportunity to return home to practice medicine.
For over 40 years our clinic has been dedicated and committed to providing exceptional care to our community! We are looking for conscientious and organized team members who can manage their time effectively in a fast-paced environment to help us further our mission to provide high-quality, convenient, and affordable healthcare within a supportive work environment.

I got my initial check up done here after tearing my acl, they convinced me to get xrays done even though I told them I should probably wait till I see the orthopedic but they insisted they would send then over. Well turns out they didnt send them over even after I called and reminded them too. So I had to just get xrays done at the orthopedic. RIP to my insurance. Super nice staff though was just a little upsetting

We had the most incredible experience at Steamboat Urgent Care! My husband wiped out skiing and pretty much wrecked his knee. From the moment we walked in the building, the staff was compassionate and helpful!
The receptionist helped me extract my distressed husband from the car, then we waited a very short time until we were taken into a room. The nurse was equally as compassionate, as well as the X-ray technician.
It was when the doctor came in that we were truly blown away. He was kind, thorough, inquisitive, knowledgeable, and once again….COMPASSIONATE! We are are back in Atlanta, awaiting

Dr. Spears was very rude and disrespectful to me. He would not allow me to speak. He tried to dictate my responses to simple questions about my COVID symptoms, interrupted me multiple times as I tried to tell him my situation (I have COVID like symptoms on a regular basis so it is hard to differentiate), and was a downright bully. I have a very complicated medical history and Dr. Spears approached it with judgement and shame before I could even tell him my symptoms much less my concerns. It was clear he saw me and my medical history as a "problem" that he needed to shame, dismiss and shove away

My husband tested positive for Covid Sunday morning and by Sunday night I was experiencing the same symptoms. Tuesday morning I called my doctors office and asked to speak to my doctor because I have severe asthma. Several hours later a nurse called. To make a long story short she said it would be 3 days before they could test me and another 3 days to see the doctor to order an infusion. I told her I could be dead by then so could I please speak to my doctor. She said he would tell me the same thing. Then we were cut off. My husband then called here. He was told they could test me right away. I

I received outstanding, timely care. Like most healthcare facilities operating during covid you call them from the entrance and wait in your vehicle. They call you back and register you and take your medical history. Then they call you again to come into the facility. The nurse and physician were excellent and took the appropriate amount of time with me.

This place is the absolute worst and least professional urgent care I've ever been to.
They make you sit outside for an hour and have the receptionist tell you that "you're next in line. Then a nurse calls and says "it'll be ANOTHER HOUR." Maybe if there was any communication between the staff, you wouldn't be leading on someone who is actually sick and seeking help.

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Despite a malfunctioning computer system, they got me in my appointment a little early--and I was a new patient.
Dr Hamilton and his staff were better than I could have hoped. To make a long story short, he saved me an extra appointment (and copay) when he didn't have to. The entire appointment lasted less than half an hour, and my antibiotics were ready for pick up as I was leaving the parking lot.
Don't usually write reviews, but that was pretty neat.
