Services
Bloomfield & Company has been a leading force in recruiting for more than 25 years. We have a vast network of candidates and a dedicated, experienced staff that has helped to establish us as one of the preeminent boutique recruiting firms in the country. What really sets Bloomfield & Company apart is our high-touch, personal approach.
After spending a decade in the staffing and recruiting industry, I developed a clear vision for how I wanted to work with clients, candidates, and my colleagues. I wanted to build a boutique firm that placed relationships - not transactions - first. Where every client, candidate, and in-house recruiter was treated with the utmost respect.
Executive Assistants and administrative staff are the backbone of your organization and Bloomfield & Company has been the go-to recruiting firm for top administrative talent for over 20 years. Our process begins with a thorough interview of you; every executive, every organization is different. Once we have a firm grasp of you and your organization, we begin a targeted recruiting process to source qualified candidates.
Bloomfield & Company has a long history of successfully placing a wide-range of professionals. Our search philosophy, which stresses highly targeted, pinpointed recruiting, allows us to take on a diverse array of search assignments. Can you help me figure out an appropriate pay range? Sure! We can provide you with market intelligence as well as point you to surveys that can be helpful when formulating a compensation package.
Bloomfield & Company is focused on introducing thoroughly vetted and qualified candidates to our clients. You can think of us as head hunters. Our clients come to us with very specific needs, we then go out to the market and try to find the best candidates to fit those needs. We are 100% focused on permanent placement; we do not place candidates in part-time, temporary, or temporary to hire positions.

Overall disappointed by the experience. I can understand and respect the process for recruiters, but I find it exceptionally unprofessional when there is no follow up, or more pointedly an email saying they're moving in a different direction. ESPECIALLY when the Recruiter has been fervently trying to contact me for a position and I have accommodated their schedule.

This recruiting firm tries to present itself as a legitimate agency. However, I question their motives. Basically, I have found they lie and waste your time. They talk up position, but many are fake opportunities. Do not use them. I was recently contacted by a recruiter, who I specifically told never to contact me again. She said I have this great opportunity. as soon as I said sure, I'm interested. There was a explanation of delay. They are professional. Trust me! It makes me laugh more than cry. A complete rest of time.

Working with Bloomfield for the better part of a year has been a delightful experience. They are very detailed and do an excellent job prequalifying every candidate. I would highly recommend!

So I was immediately impressed with the location, office space and stellar rep, right?

I was swiftly introduced to several members of the team and most seemed impressed with me, until I declined their offer to accept "temp to hire" positions.

Please don't get me wrong, temping is not beneath me, however, they dangled a carrot by sharing with me there was a "specific role in mind --suited just for me!" The carrot was dangled, I bit and made the appointment.

There was an extended delay in follow-up. The recruiter I worked with was a bit of a novice. In that, each time

I agree with some of the commentators below. My initial meeting at Bloomfield was terrific. There were a few positions in my salary range - so I was told, but nothing ever came to fruition. After several weeks had passed, I called to get some feedback. I needed to know if my resume had been presented, etc. I got a voicemail, an email with promise of follow up, etc., but once again nothing materialized - no email, no return call, etc. Another rather annoying issue is the fact that the recruiter would usually call around 6:30 pm (when I am stuck in rush hour traffic) or after 8:30 pm with nothing

I was contacted out of the blue by a Bloomfield recruiter on LinkedIn about a week ago; she was your typical recruiter, very upbeat, friendly, complimentary, etc. We spoke several times, I filled out the application and then she put me through to another recruiter who turned out to be the "Vice President" of Bloomfield, for what I was lead to believe would be an interview. It turned out to be more of an inquisition about my willingness to commute from Stafford to DC (apparently I'm the only one in this area who'd be crazy enough to make that commute...), telling me that no

I was recently extremely unhappy in my job and decided to begin the time-consuming process of finding another job. One of my customers recommended Andrea Asbell with Bloomfield and Company, so I reached out to Andrea as well as a few other recruiting agencies. I was thoroughly impressed by Andrea's friendly, professional manner and positive attitude. She made me feel like I was desirable to companies, and she genuinely listened to what I was looking for. She schedule multiple phone and in-person interviews for me and ensured that I was completely prepared for each. She even offered advice

The person I have been dealing with - well not really since she never contacts me - has NEVER referred me to jobs that are the level of where I am! My one friend forwards me messages from other recruiters in the firm looking for stellar EA's, 10 years experience, etc., etc.. When I inquire of my person as to why she has not thought of me, SHE NEVER REPLIES!!! I know these companies get way too many candidates to try to remember who is who, but when it comes to a person with 30 years high level EA experience, I am sure there are not a ton in the database. I really could care less if I ever

I'm only providing 1 star although this company truly deserves 0!!

First things first, the stellar reviews provided above are surely from Bloomfield management and/or recruiters employed by Bloomfield in order to neutralize - if you will - all of our accurate and constructive critiques of this organization.

For several years now, I've had issues with Bloomfield posting bogus client searches/needs and unethical job postings on Craig's List here in the Washington DC area - Trak Services has the same practice. Jessie promised $75k a year salaries and placement within international

Over the last five years, I've had the pleasure of working with the staff at Bloomfield & Co a few different times. I've worked with over 20 different agencies and Bloomfield stands out above the rest! They are dedicated, focused, driven, and treat their clients and candidates alike with the highest level of respect. As a candidate, I received reliable and useful feedback, consistent communication, and superior customer service. Most recently, I worked with Meredith who is an exemplary recruiting professional with the highest standards. I highly recommend Meredith and Bloomfield

Bloomfield & company was one of the worst recruiting companies I have ever worked with. I recently have been looking for work and decided that getting a recruiter would help me, as well as broaden my job search. Well, one of the worst mistakes on my part was trusting Bloomfield and considering them a "good source".

I contacted Bloomfield and was immediately called and had an appointment set up. I was impressed initially but that went south quickly. After the appointment my recruiter said there was testing I had to complete and she would contact me with current openings that fit

As a (former!) job seeker, I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Bloomfield & Company. Jesse, the recruiter who handled my search, was attentive, engaged and visibly dedicated to helping me find the perfect job based on my personal desires and experiences; at no point did I feel as if I was merely a "commission" to the company, as has been the case with other agencies. Jesse asked in-depth questions in order to better understand my interests and long-term career goals and, in short order, presented me with a list of very appealing opportunities. He remained

Thank you Bloomfield & Co!!! I work at a small law firm and Bloomfield & Co. helped me find our truly fantastic office administrator who has been here almost 3 years now. I tried doing it myself and failed numerous times. When I finally went to Bloomfield, they spent a lot of time asking me questions to get a better idea of exactly what we were looking for. After Bloomfield sent me a handful of very qualified candidates, it was clear to me that they were listening to our needs and understood the importance of finding the right fit for our team. Thanks a million!!! As an employer

Update: 10/26/10

An associate at Bloomfield contacted me via email to let me know how "unfair" my review was. I understand the company does not want bad press; however, I would be lying if I said my experience was a good one because it certainly was not.

The following day the owner of the company left me a message to discuss my experience. The message was professional and there was a sincere level of concern.

Thus, I am giving Bloomfield **two stars** since the owner reached out to me in an effort to gain a better understanding of what had occured. Although I do not feel that
