I have been working in the industry since 2000 when I started at the Hamilton County Park District maintaining the golf course. There I developed a love and passion for grass, landscaping, and perfection. I left the park district to do mission work in the states and Thailand. Upon returning to the states I went to work for a friend who was starting his own lawn care company.
There I helped him grow the company to over 100 lawns with many other clients. In 2008 I decided to start Yard Designs. Our principals are honest in everything, provide our clients with top quality workmanship and supplies, and treat our team members as we would like to be treated. I am excited to say as we grow as a company we hold true to these words and look forward to serving you.

Yard Designs is a local, family owned and operated, lawn care, and landscaping company based in Burlington, KY. The owner, Josh Ballman, strives to make sure every service offered by Yard Designs is done with excellence. He does this by bringing on great people to our team and expecting honesty, fairness, and superior quality in all we do.
Our goal, it that in your first communication with Yard Designs you will notice something a little different about us. From answering the phone, meeting for an estimate and completing the work you will have proper communication, uniformed employees and excellent service. We keep our service area relatively small which allows us to provide our clients with the best price possible as we spend very little time in our trucks.
Last summer my wife and I moved back to the Florence area. As difficult as it is to find the perfect house, we finally did but the back yard needed some major updates and lots of TLC. I called three places for estimates and Yard designs were the first to respond. From the office to Josh coming out and doing the estimate, I realized I wasn't going to find a better company.
At Yard Designs we take care of the needs of home and business owners when it comes to lawn mowing and maintenance in Northern Kentucky. The Google search "lawn care near me" can stop here, because our services will be a job done right across the board. If we had to sum up our lawn mowing services in 3 words they would be: Consistent, Affordable, and Reliable.
If trash or debris happens to blow into your lawn we will pick it up! Our crews also know to shut all gates and to double check that they are shut before leaving. We don't just edge your concrete borders, we edge your defined landscape bed edges too. We work hard to keep grass clippings out of your mulch beds and all clippings will be blown off your paved surfaces before we are complete.

Had a water main break. The repairs left my yard destroyed. Yard designs did outstanding work. Will definitely use them again. Their repair on my garden wall was better than the original install. Will have them redo the wall in fall or spring.
Update...the yard looks great. Just like nothing ever happened.
I have used them again on another job since the original review and all I can say is I will never call anyone else!

Yard Designs is absolutely excellent, and has been helping us maintain our yard and landscaping for years. Josh and his team are prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and always responsive to any questions or concerns we may have.
They do a beautiful job with lawn mowing and trimming, as well as seasonal landscape cleanups, trimming trees and bushes, and mulching. They have also helped us with over-seeding our lawn, as well as removing overgrown landscaping.
