B. Henderson Johnson, Jr. and his oldest son, Barry H. Johnson, founded the Law Firm of Johnson and Johnson in 1980 as a general practice law firm. Henderson had a strong concentration in criminal defense, and Barry focused his practice in civil litigation. In 1982, James E. Whittle, Jr. joined the firm and brought with him a background and focus in criminal defense work.
Eric Staggs was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2013 and admitted to practice in all state and federal courts. He is death penalty certified. His areas of practice include criminal defense, personal injury and other civil litigation. Mr. Staggs served as a public defender in both Richland and Beaufort Counties before joining the Firm.
