Services
I am a graduate of Indiana University-School of Optometry and have been in practice in Poplar Bluff for over 20 years. I am therapeutically licensed to diagnose and treat various ocular diseases. I am involved in the mission efforts of Fellowship of Christian Optometrists; in providing eye care to third world countries.
Annual exams are very important not only to determine if you need correction to see well but also to maintain the health of your eye. We recommend an annual eye health and vision exam by Dr. Bell. They typically only take 30 minutes and are crucial to protecting and preserving your precious vision for a lifetime.
Children should have their eyes checked at ages 3 and again prior to entering school at around age 5. Does Bell Family Eye Care treat medical conditions such as pink eye or foreign body removal?. Yes, Dr. Bell is therapeutically trained to diagnose and treat most types of ocular disease conditions.
Most of our contacts come in one of three wearing styles: extended wear for those who want to sleep in their lenses, daily wear lenses for those who feel more comfortable taking them out at night, and daily disposables for the best comfort and convenience. There are multifocal lenses that allow comfortable lenses at all distances and monovision, where one eye is for distance and the other eye for either near or intermediate.
When possible always use a clean cleaning cloth that is specially designed for your eyewear. Avoid using Kleenex, paper towels, other paper products, or materials with potentially rough fibers that may scratch the lenses. Always take your eyewear off with both hands to prevents stretching one side of the frame.
