Preparing mentally and physically for surgery is an important step toward a successful result. Understanding the process and your role in it will help you recover more quickly and have fewer problems.
Once you and your Doctor decide that surgery will help you, it will be beneficial to learn what to expect from the surgery, about recovery, therapy, and treatment plans, and to modify everyday tasks during the recovery period to achieve the best results afterward. Before surgery, your doctor will perform a complete physical examination to make sure you don't have any conditions that could interfere with the surgery or its outcome.

Had open hand carpel tunnel surgery. After doing everything I was told to do for recovery, I am still unable to use my hand like I should be able too, because of the severity. I needed both hands done, however decided to wait to get my other one done until I was through with hand therapy and able to compensate for the loss of use. I ended up having to cancel a couple of appointments because they conflicted with hand therapy on my first hand. It’s been a year and I’m now finally able to get the next surgery, however they refuse to see me because of my missed appointments(that were because of

I have been totally pleased with Idaho Hand Institute. Dr. Stucki has the best, most calming, and reassuring bedside manner. He is very good about explaining the options and advising the patient of the pros and cons that go along with each procedure or surgery. He will also tell you what to expect in the success or lack of with each option. As I already mentioned, he is very reassuring, which helps comfort you. I highly recommend.

Excellent surgeon. Almost every other component of this experience has been more painful than the actual surgeries. At this point, I would not recommend this place if your situation doesn't fit the boiler-plate two weeks off with sick pay. The office standard operating procedures keep affecting our ability to collect income. I have two wrists that need to be fixed and at this point I think I will look elsewhere. I would love the opportunity to speak with Dr. Esplin directly because the frustration just keeps compounding and I believe the opportunity for improvement exists and that this office is

Couldn't be happier with our experience with Dr. Ryan Miller! He is an incredible surgeon with the best bed side manner. He answered all our questions patiently (we had a lot) and didn't make us feel rushed or stupid for asking them. You can tell he is incredibly smart, but he lacks any of the arrogance you get with other surgeons. He was wonderful from our first appointment to our final post-op followup. We would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone.

Considering my health history with tumors and my neurofibromatosis. I have been here a few times. Each time I was treated with respect and honesty. All my concerns addressed and every need was met to make me feel better. I was really nervous for this last surgery and they helped me be at ease and comfortable. Thank you so much idaho hand institute, and Dr. Esplin. If I run into problems later on in life I know who to always go to. Thank u again!

Excellent care here!!! I had Dr. Miller do my Left Carpal Tunnel Release and went from pain and numbness every night all night to the night after surgery having little to no pain or numbness. He spoke to me in a very kind way and made it easy for someone who has zero understanding of the medical jargon they use. I highly recommend these people. Keep up the good work guys!!!!
