Dr. Karisa founded Viva Family chiropractic with a simple mission shared by many: make Saint Louis Park a healthier community. What most people don't realize is that potential already lives inside all of us. Through chiropractic, Dr. Karisa taps into innate healing power of the human body and hopes to share this understanding of health with as many people as possible.

Not all Chiros are created equal!! If you want a comprehensive assessment of how your nervous system is functioning and a clear plan on how to get your body back on track - then Dr. Karisa is your chiro! What I have learned is that chiropractic care is not to alleviate pain, but to help your body and nervous system adapt to stress so your body DOESN'T hurt!!

I was referred to Dr Karissa by a family member for my severe back and neck pain. Through a thorough evaluation I found out I had stage 3 degenerative disc disease and arthritis from C1-T2 vertebrates. I would have rated my pain between an 7-10 on most days and I had headaches EVERY day. I have seen her for nearly 2 years now and my pain has decreased significantly. I would now say I rarely have headaches and I would rate the pain a 2 on the pain scale. She is also very gentle when she does her adjustments. I have seen other chiropractors in the past that were rough and didn't get any results.

Dr. Karisa is my favorite person to see every week. :) I first started going to Viva to alleviate some back and neck pain, but never anticipated the changes I'd feel in my overall wellness and mental health. I love that she educates her patients and TRULY wants to find a plan that benefits their longterm health. I would recommend her to anyone and look forward to using her in the years ahead.

I was recommended to Dr. Karissa by folks in the birthing community and I started seeing her because I was feeling generally uncomfortable in my body and unsure about the long-term effects of some injuries I had sustained over the years. After working with her for about six months I feel so much more connected and aware of what my body needs and conscious of how the systems interact. The issues I started seeing her for (migraines, knee/joint pain) are gone for the most part and when they come back it is usually because I haven't been in for a few weeks. Both Sam and the Doc are wonderful people

Viva has really helped me a lot. I started seeing Dr Karisa because I get migraines and I also had some vertigo issues. She was very thorough in explaining the scans and X-rays that were taken when I first started coming here. She re-exams every so often and adjusts care as needed. I get fewer migraines now! Dr Karisa is very knowledgeable and shares her knowledge with the patients. I am definitely noticing improvements and recommend her!

Dr. Karisa treats the whole body and really cares about her patients. She makes recommendations for products to better help you with your needs. It’s also really important to me that I find someone who can treat my whole family if and when it’s needed. I would be completely at ease with her adjusting my children. She’s also very involved in her community and is always holding informative and educational group sessions after hours for her clients.
