Services
Owen Industries is the parent company of several steel processing and fabrication companies throughout the Midwest. Our oldest division, PVS Structures, was founded in Omaha, NE as Paxton & Vierling Iron Works in 1885, and focused primarily on our foundry and structural products. The company eventually rebranded as Paxton & Vierling Steel (PVS) in 1954, and our logo has worn the badge of PVS ever since.
Owen Industries has played a vital role in American Midwest history for more than a century. Founded in 1885 as Paxton & Vierling Iron Works, in our early days we produced the majority of the street lamps in Omaha, Nebraska and provided iron material for countless warehouse buildings.
Paxton & Vierling diversified in the early 1900s, processing structural steel for Omaha's construction boom and offering component fabrication for the emerging railroad industry. After World War II, we began supplying steel products to the Midwest's growing manufacturing and agricultural markets. As the Midwest grew, so did our company.

Owen Industries offers an extensive portfolio of metals processing capabilities ranging from small, simple cut parts to large, multi-processed components. Our facilities house some of the largest and most versatile equipment available, including CNC machines, laser, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting systems, state-of-the-art shot blast systems, robotic welding technology and painting capabilities.
Due to a quality issue with another supplier, we were looking for a reliable source for affordable sheet and plate. We met with Owen Industries representatives, explained our special needs for a wide variety of material thicknesses and grades, plus just in time delivery, usually with short notice. They have become our main supplier for sheet and plate, excelling with quality, service and hard-to-beat pricing.
PVS Metals has a 50-year history of leadership in the steel distribution and metals processing business. We are a major distributor and processor of steel plate and sheet products in the Midwest. Our facility houses several million dollars worth of steel in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and grades to meet your toughest requirements.

Not sure what the previous comment is about, ive never had any negative experiences especially with HR. My interview was painless and HR gal Alyssa was super nice. The HR VP welcomed all of us first day in our Monday orientation. I really enjoyed the pizza lunches during employee on boarding, how they make u feel welcome. CEO bought pizza and even said hi. Family owned and ran from the top, no red tape, everyone’s held accountable. Good pay...good amt of work ...which is good job security. It feels good to be a part of a team, something that was definitely missing at my other job.
