Services
Here at Park Shoe Repair we spend our days sewing, cutting, stitching, patching, sanding, replacing soles and heels, polishing, cleaning, dyeing or simply adding a hole to a belt. At Park Shoe Repair we pride ourselves on using quality materials, combined with excellent craftsmanship, while keeping the cost as low and competitive as possible.
Well-kept shoes contributes to a positive reflection on your appearance and represents your professionalism, attention to detail, conscientiousness, and confidence. A quality shoe shine and a new set of laces can easily spruce up your favorite pair of shoes. In addition, shoe repair and care adds value to your footwear investment, while helping protect your feet.
Good soles are much like tires for a car. There are always cheaper brands out there and someone willing to replace them for next to nothing. But cheap tires can ruin the drive of a luxury automobile and always end up failing sooner than later. Shoe soles are the same. If you have invested in a fine pair of shoes, Alden, Allen Edmond, Crockett & Jones, Churches or John Lobb etc. then you want your soles replaced with JR.
If your shoes are wet, stuff 'em with newspaper ASAP and keep them away from direct heat (which can dry the leather too fast, causing it to crack and loosen adhesives). Throw out the shoe box. Storing leather shoes in its original packaging for long periods of time will do harm to the materials (thanks to humidity).

Thank you so much for repairing my oldest and most favorite boots, I had know idea that these could have been repaired. Now that I know I will bring a lot more leather goods in. Park Shoe Repair is fast and efficient and the best with great prices, as far as repairing all leather stuff!

I had Frye leather boots that had separated leather soles and expected that they would stitch them together as it had been done originally. Instead, they were glued together, and when I brought them back, he didn’t think he did anything wrong despite being able to pull the bottom sole down to show the gummy separation. He didn’t offer to fix it after paying something like $40 for a terrible job. Never will I go back there.

I dropped off my vintage leather jacket to have a single snap repaired, something I could’ve done myself if I had the tools. The job they did on the snap itself was fine, but they charged me $25 because they had to open up the lining to get it done. For the quality of the stitching they used to sew it back up though, it’s ridiculous that they charged me that much. Just a couple minutes more effort or a little more care would’ve produced a much more professional result. I ripped out their stitching and redid it myself with an invisible ladder stitch. Still, the holes from their thread remain

I took 6 pairs of Ferragamo heels into Park Shoe for repairs. These have been my favorite work shoes which is why I purchased so many pairs. They are no longer made. I'd been intending to have them repaired for ages but was always too busy. Last week I finally took them in. My goodness, they did an absolutely fabulous fabulous job. My well worn shoes look like new again. I'm so happy I had this thought: Park Shoe didn't just repair my soles, they patched my soul!!!!! The repairs were also very fast. Great job!!!!!

Small shop, does beautiful work, reasonable price. They also tell you how they'll fix something so you know what's going on and if something isn't worth a fix or if you can fix it easily yourself, they'll tell you how too! They also buff n shine everything before you get it back, so my shoes always come back looking brand new, and clean! I love this place. They're extremely trustworthy. :)

After giving them my business three times over the past year, I won't be returning to Park Shoe Repair.
When I brought in some boots to be resoled, I bought a more expensive sole per their recommendation. Anything to help the boots last longer. Within a week of walking on the new soles and heels, the heel of the boot fell off. When I brought them back and explained that the heel had come off during a walk, the employees seemed flustered, asked if I had the heel (I didn't--it got lost outside when it fell off), offered a judgmental remark about how the screws holding the heel were now

Park Shoe Repair offered great service at a fair price and with a really fast turnaround.
I purchased a pair of Doc Martens boots that were killing my right foot. I figured out that they hurt my foot do to the leather of the tongue extending a few cm into the boot, rubbing the top of my foot. I dropped the boots off on 12/22/2016, fully expecting to get them back after January 1st. I was

I brought in leather riding-style boots to have the heels replaced ($20) and the toes polished ($10). When I came to pick up, the new heels looked great but the toes looked like they hadn't been touched. At that point, they took about 3 minutes to polish the toes, and they looked slightly better. I'm frustrated that they almost let me leave without getting the services that I paid for, and I don't think the time or improvement was worth the $10. I would come back for heel replacement, but won't be paying for the polishing.

I had a purse from Greece that my sister had given me that was missing the clasp one day, and I was so devastated. I came here to ask if they could fix it for me, and they said they would do their best. I did think it was pricey -- they charged me $30 -- but upon picking up the bag today, I thought I was going to cry.
It was PERFECT.
The woman matched the leather perfectly and the bag looks the same as it did. The attention to detail was amazing and I am so, so happy to have found a place close to me that was able to do this. I will be coming back here if I need any things repaired.

I was happy to find this shoe repair because I spend a lot of money on my work shoes, I don't pay less to hurt more by any means. I'm on my feet all day and I work in the dental field. I've been buying Dansko and Sanita shoes for the last 12-15 years and they are not cheap about $105-$150 a pair. I just had a black pair of Sanitas repaired on the soles, they were worn down on the outer edges of the soles from wear and tear after 8 years! I didn't even know they could be repaired I just asked for the heck of it. I dropped them off and said take your time no rush I haven

I have been going to this location for several years now. As the only downtown shoe repair, I'm surprised that it isn't busier although there is usually at least one other person when I arrive.
I love that they have given me a couple of free services like punching an extra hole in my belt and summer sandal so they buckled smaller. Typically I've paid modest to more for sole repairs, purse bag handle re-stitching, and polishing.
Most recently I brought in my daughter's favorite leather boot to be re-stitched at the ankle seam about 2 inches across where it had come undone

Well, after I finally drove around the block twice, I finally found a place to park. I'm sure if I lived here, I would have known where to park, so let me say that! The owners are so customer focused & great to work with. I brought my daughters heels here to get new heels. The ones asked if I'd like her shoes cleaned also.
I told him I needed them by the end of the day. He said they'd be done in one hour. He went t start working on the shoes while his wife cashed me out.
When I didn't have change to give her because I put my last two quarters in the parking meter, she

These guys are wonderful. I brought in a pair of black leather boots that were pretty beat up by several Michigan winters. Not only did they make them look like new and repaired the heel, they took extra time to put in additional cushioning along the sole when the heels started giving me blisters. Fabulous customer service from people who really know what they're doing and care about their craft.

I've used Park Shoe Repair for the last few years. They are straightforward about what could be done and whether or not a shoe can be repaired. I've had heels replaced, winter boots glued. The results have always met my expectations.
Sure, the customer service may be short at times, but never rude. She even threw in a free glue-job for a new shoe that had a peeling sole once.

Some of these reviews state that the lady who is the owner is very nice at ALL... true story! She was rude and said my boots were 'toast' and I should consider buying a new pair. I then went to Ann Arbor Shoe Repair, which is right next door to the awesome pound for pound store. He said they were no problem to fix, just needed a piece of leather to help restitch the seam and could repair the soles. 25 bucks, done in a couple days. :) If you are looking for a store with patience and care, don't go there.
