Services
Many dealers spend hours every week in the mall; working their local antique shop and socializing with other dealers and shoppers. The seating area is a great place to make new friends or catch up with old ones. We host seminars, workshops, training events and social gatherings. Our dealers enjoy being in the Brass Armadillo and work hard to maintain the booths or cases to be fresh and contain new inventory.
The Brass Armadillo Antique Mall is a clean, secure, and professionally managed antique mall that brings new marketing opportunities to both established and part-time dealers.
Established dealers enjoy the benefit of an additional location without significant overhead costs, while part-time dealers gain access to a full complement of retail services, as well as a comprehensive advertising and promotions strategy for reaching collectors and antique buyers.A large advertising budget and carefully targeted promotions designed to entice customer traffic.

The Brass Armadillo Antique Mall is a growing business that's looking for friendly and motivated people for part-time antique store jobs. Our malls are open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, which means prospective employees can choose from a variety of schedules. Our salary and benefits programs are competitive and we follow a policy of promoting from within our ranks.
That's when Larry Gottula and Dave Briddle (shown right at the Des Moines mall) opened the first Brass Armadillo Antique Mall in Des Moines, Iowa. Folks liked the name, and the way we operated. The Brass Armadillo brought a refreshing sense of professionalism to antique mall retailing that Larry and Dave engaged dealers and collectors, alike.

Most of the booths are well organized and fair priced, but a few are hard to navigate and seem like "storage" spaces. I do appreciate the system of placing things behind the counter while you continue shopping and workers are all friendly that I've encountered. It is big so expect to spend a while (2 hours possibly) browsing!

I don't know what to say. This place is so massive I guarantee there is stuff here from the early early 1900s to the present day. And if you could look it almost at everything and every booth I guarantee take you about a week to walk through this place hands down. The best place I've ever had the opportunity to walk through and look at all of the awesome display cases that people have to put their stuff in for sale as well as the open area spaces just amazing and very helpful staff

The Brass Armadillo is a well established antique mall just east of Blue Springs Missouri that haw been serving midwest collectors since 1992. The mall offers convenient hours from 9 to 9 seven days a week with ample parking. While visible from highway I 70 you must exit the highway before you get there , the last blue springs exit or Grain valley exit just past, east of the mall. Check your map before you go to avoid any confusion. Everyone is very professional and helpful. I didn't have to wait long for someone with a key to open a case or to check out and pay for my items even though they were

A huge antique mall with a little bit of everything! There's always something new each time I go in. Plan to spend at least a couple of hours wandering the isles!
As I've noticed with other antique stores located near an interstate, prices tend to be a bit on the high side, so don't expect the find the deal of a lifetime. I did come home with a piggy bank from the 50s, and old salt shaker and an antique colorful tin, all of which fit nicely with my decor.

This was packed full of amazing stuff, and it took me a couple hours to go through all of it and some booths I just glanced at. The only drawback is it doesn't have carts to put your kids in. My son is in a car seat so you have to carry that around the whole time. So make sure you bring a stroller to strap them into.

Massive flea market / antique store in Grain Valley, MO. Huge building with aisle after aisle of booths full of anything and everything that you could ever imagine.
Antique mall is a bit of a stretch in the name. Feels much more like a flea market with many booths hosting a random variety of, well simply, junk. Other booths have lovely antique items.
Prices vary greatly. Few are competitive. Many are overpriced.
Overall, it is a fun place to wander around if you are burning time. Maybe you'll find a treasure? One will certainly find some interesting treasures.... or... otherwise?!?!

This place needs a major polish job on the crusty old cashiers and grey hair bobb woman's energy level to check people out. 3 cash registers and they only have 1 open while 5 people wait for the oldest man behind the desks gets focused on doing 3 jobs at one time: call a vendor, delegate a mover where to go and ring up sales. Ridiculous! The grey haired women just stood there and could only say, " I'm saaaaari" while we walked out. Really? Then why didn't you go get help or get yourself behind a register and check us out? DONT BOTHER WASTING YOU TIME HERE unless you plan

This is the 3rd Brass Armadillo I have been to:
They are all the same layout with a greeter and glass casing as you enter.
Very large at 40,000+ sq ft of all the imaginable treasures possible. Many booths and great exercise as you go about a daily hunt!
Pricing varies, dealer to dealer - open 364 days a year which is fantastic for someone like myself who travels around holidays.
While these are always great stores, they should push dealers to do more sales, as some of the dealers sit on items and it can start to look cluttered in areas. Some are so packed with stuff its almost unbearable to walk

This place is a plethora of fantastic vintage and not so vintage finds. If you have an hour to kill...good luck because you won't even scratch the surface! Great for searching old vintage Christmas decor and random items from your long lost childhood (assuming you're 50+) and some fun things from the 70's (assuming you're at least 40)! Nostalgia is what the Brass Armadillo is all about!

If you're looking for a place to browse for unique antiques near the KC metro area, look elsewhere! I wish someone had written an honest review of this place and saved me the drive out to Grain Valley!
I have visited Brass Armadillo locations in Phoenix, Denver and Des Moines and have come to expect a certain caliber of antique dealers in their booths. The Grain Valley location is a sad exception to Brass Armadillo's ordinarily high standards. I would say that close to 75% of the booths are flea market junk and thrift store rejects. Very few booths in the entire mall contain genuine

Here's a place that'll put you behind schedule on your road trip. It's so big the aisles have street names, and it's about the size of some nearby towns.
That's assuming you can find your way there. They do a great job of marking the exit, then you're on your own. Twice I've passed it on the access road and couldn't figure out how to get from the access road to the shop. You want to find RD Mize Road, not 40 Highway!
Merchandise ranges from late 19th century furniture, china, etc. to flea market/craft items. Prices vary, since there are probably 100 or

I'm torn between 3 stars and 4 stars here. By nature, antique malls aren't terribly awesome. Do I enjoy them? Yes! Do most people below the age of 60 seek them out? Not really... But when you see a 42,000 square foot antique mall on the side of the highway, you have to stop in, right?
Mike T and I really do like browsing the goods at antique shops and retro furniture stores. We actually have a "wall o' random" in our apartment, comprised of paintings/pictures/postcards from our many strange adventures. In addition, Mike collects AM radios and I like to look for vintage
