Microdermabrasion is beneficial to anyone who is dealing with fine lines, age spots, sun damage, acne scarring, enlarged pores, blackheads, milia, stretch marks, scars, uneven skin tone, dull looking skin, and some deeper wrinkles. It is not meant for the treating of acne as you don't want to open and spread the bacteria found in the acne.
AHA (Alpha-Hydroxy Acids and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids) are both acids that are used in my chemical peels to exfoliate the skin, and you should familiarize yourself with both if you are wanting to improve your skin's appearance based on your skin type. A very popular AHA, that I use, is Glycolic Acid Peel.
Now of course we all know that there is no miracle cure and that achieving the best results means more than one treatment. And even after achieving that youthful glow, you need to maintain it. Lactic Acid chemical peels are part of the AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) and are very similar to a Glycolic Acid. One of the main differences between the two is that Lactic Acid can be used more often on the skin than Glycolic. The percentage I use can be used once or twice a week with results showing almost immediately.
