The nursing staff and social workers were incredible and provided superior compassionate care for mother and family. They went above and beyond helping us navigate our way through finding long-term care for our mom and alleviated a lot of our stress and concerns. They gave superior patient centered care. I would recommend the Marian Center to any family in need of their services.
The only negative aspect of the care received from this facility is that there was zero communication with the actual treating provider. The providers need to be more proactive and involved with speaking to the families

The worse communication of all. You have no idea what is going on with your loved one and they seem all scatterbrained. Rude on the phone, can't answer simple question. Never again, I will take the abuse of a schzo patient at home, never again will he go there or anywhere, you need to work with own psychiatrist. This has to be one of the worse to put your loved on in.

I am a CNA and taking care of a patient now in a different facility. After his wife got very sick, he started to have a breakdown. Which is very understandable. He was referred to this Marian center and the family is very involved in his care. He was scared to death. He felt threatened by staff and saw others suffer in restraints and fall many times. He tried to tell his granddaughter when the staff wasn’t around to help him get out. He said to his granddaughter not to blow his cover every time certain staff came around. So his two grandkids came and said NO, we are taking him out NOW. He was

This geriatric psychiatric hospital is the best in Utah. Other psychiatric center do not have a specific geriatric services, so they end up treating patients as a healthy adult. It is important to understand that the elderly require different medications and approaches.
On top of that they are easy to work with and very responsive to all needs. Not only do they treat the patients great, but they communicate well with the family members to help them understand the process.

Great Psychiatric unit. You will not find as smaller ratio of CNAs or Nurses to patients. Social workers and patients meet with the patients every day and there is also a total of three hours for visiting patients each day. There is a reason that this place has won awards for best geriatric Psych ward in the state.
