Baton Rouge Ballet Ater
Our mission is to promote the advancement of classical and contemporary dance by maintaining a performing company, presenting a high quality season, and providing both dance education and community outreach. The Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre (BRBT) stands in unity with the arts community and does not tolerate racism or injustice.

During these challenging times, we want to make it abundantly clear that BRBT supports black lives, equality, and inclusion. The arts, especially dance, allow freedom of expression and are for everyone to participate in and/or enjoy. We are proud to partner with the Manship Theatre at Shaw Center for Arts to host Philadanco! in Baton Rouge this Fall.
Services
Molly is co-artistic director of BRBT, co-owner of The Dancers' Workshop and retired Director of Dance for the LSU Department of Theatre. She has choreographed over 50 musicals for professional, community and university theatres and is currently choreographer-in-residence for Swine Palace. Sharon is co-artistic director of BRBT and co-owner of the Dancers' Workshop.
After a season of restrictions and multiple "pivots" to virtual programming, Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre couldn't be happier to return to a season of live and on-stage performances. This season promises to be an even more momentous one now that the dancers can return to their home stage for our spring performance of Rapunzel.
Make sure to have a seat when Rapunzel takes down her glorious hair! With original choreography by Rebecca Acosta and Jonna Cox, we are so excited to revive this community favorite for Baton Rouge audiences. Full of charm and romance, this production will appeal to the whole family. Premier seating and other benefits secured as a Full Season ticket holder or Storybook Season ticket holder.
With the help of community sponsors, BRBT is able to distribute free main stage performance tickets to underserved members of our community through local organizations including Big Buddy, East Baton Rouge Parish Schools, Family & Youth Services, Life of a Single Mom, and Youth Oasis.

BRBT's Ballet Experience Initiative utilizes sponsorship funding to underwrite tickets to our main stage productions for local organizations working with underserved members of the community. This program provides free access to quality dance performances for those in the community who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the art of ballet at a live performance.
The Land of the Sweets Tea is an interactive experience geared toward pre-school and elementary-aged children and their families. At the tea, guests enjoy sweets and finger foods while interacting with characters from BRBT's holiday favorite, The Nutcracker-A Tale from the Bayou, including Clara and the Nutcracker.

Clear bag policy for a ballet? I do not want wallet and toiletries exposed while walking in or out for parking. Strange.

From contemporary pieces to classical ballet, the depth and variety of the performances produced by the Baton Rouge Ballet Theater is outstanding. Baton Rouge is fortunate to have access to such talented dancers and artistry. Their work is a proud reminder of how the performing arts brings beauty and unity to our community. Thank you, BRBT.

I paid for my daughter's tap and ballet pictures this past season and was told to wait on reprints. Well I recently talked to Rachel who had me contact DK photography myself and apparently my second order form has just gone missing and they're trying to make me pay forpre pictures when I never received what i paid for. This place is not being ran right. Very disorganized and I believe their trying to scam me now. I'd give zero stars if I could.
