Denton and Sons started the well drilling business because "there were no well drillers in the area." 160 years later, the company that started because there were no well drillers in the area is still there. Denton and Sons Water Well Drilling of Sand Lake was founded in 1860 by Mickey Denton's great-great-great grandfather, at that time a recent arrival from Ireland.
Today, the company's status as the oldest drilling firm in the region has earned it a reputation that is hard to beat. There are over 30 drillers in the area vying for the same jobs and competition is stiff. Denton and Sons has built their reputation on honesty by providing quality work at a fair price using well-maintained equipment.

This place is very responsibly ran. My first reply phone call was within a couple hours, and a technician came out to analyze the situation approximately an hour after that. They gave me a quote and left it at that. No pressure was applied whatsoever. I sat on the quote for a week before returning my phone call and they were out 2 days later to do the service, which was a new bladder tank, valves and gauges. This is one of those situations where the price is probably I would say 20% higher, but in my opinion they charge a little more because they know they are worth what they charge. With that

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
Had well bladder tank issues; contacted Denton & Sons. Was told that would get call next day from service rep, was contacted next morning by Ted service tech. Ted came out that same day and replaced tank with better quality one. Very fast, professional and courteous. Very pleased and would highly recommend.

We found ourselves without water late Friday afternoon, called the office and was told that a service man would be out by 9 am Saturday. The service man was here shortly before 9, and it didn't take him long to find and fix the problem! I was fearful of a huge bill but was anything but! Thank you for your excellent customer service! Will definitely recommend you to friends and family!!

These people came all the way out to my house. Dug my well all the way out. Said to call and set an appointment for next week Tuesday. Called...left a voicemail. Next day: Called…voicemail. Then we were out of town for the weekend. Monday of “said week” they said 40 people are ahead of us even though we did what they wanted us to - called twice and left a voicemail once. “Said day” (Tuesday) arrives and we are on the phone again and [didn’t catch the name] is really upset that we are calling again. I’M upset we’re calling again. Long story short, he refused to do our service even

Had problems with my well, I called Denton & Son's, they were there within the hour, replaced my pump switch. They told me that my pressure tank was waterlogged. I was given a quote for repairs. The following week they returned the do the job. They replaced the pressure tank, and replaced a hydrant for a reasonable price. I will definitely have them back for more work in the future.

We initially contacted Denton and Sons for pressure issues in our home. Ted stopped by the same day to address the issue, telling the situation to us straight. We ultimately decided to get a new well put in, complete with all plumbing related to the well. Within a week the job was complete on very short notice. Denton and Sons was respectable, informational, and did a great job. They did an excellent job top-to-bottom, and more importantly said "Call us if you have any issues," when the job was complete.

Incredible response time and service. I called at 7:30AM on a Friday and by 4PM I had water again after my main water line failed. Their technicians were incredibly respectful of my house and took special care not to track dirt and mud through everything. I will definitely call them next time something happens with my well!

It seems I'm always writing something good about Jim and his son's! They installed a new well and capped an old one for us last year. They did an awesome job on it too. We close the place up in the winter and it seems that I didn't do a really good job of draining all the pipes, either that or it was the extremely long cold spells Michigan had this past winter. So, we get up to Michigan to open the place up for the summer, I flip the switch for the well and I've got water spraying all over the crawl space. It wasn't the well plumbing, that was perfect, but the copper piping had burst in 4 spots
