I felt all through my career, the car that always dominated the luxury market while I was growing up was the Packard automobile, because of its engineering and elegance. Wherever you went in the world, into the 1950s, the Packard always stood out. And the best thing I could do was to try and preserve a museum with a collection of one model for each year of the company's existence, between 1900-1958.

An orphan who sold flowers on the streets of New York during the Great Depression, Arthur Stone went on to become the head of a successful chain of florist shops as well as an avid collector of antique cars, and founder of the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum. At age 10, Mr. Stone made $1 a day selling flowers in Manhattan.
