Since becoming partners in 1986, Tim, Jim and Carroll have worked together to develop FPD's sales force, introduce new products, add equipment and property as the company grew. Each of them is still very actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.

Rapid City is located on the edge of the Back Hills National Forest, a Ponderosa Pine producing region. FPD has developed markets for most of the products that are produced from this forest. Our yard in Rapid City holds inventories of 1X4 thru 1X12C Select thru #5 Common and 2X4 thru 2X12#2&Btr thru Econ Dimension.
Our involvement in the industrial markets has provided an impetus for our participation in all softwood markets. Our years of experience have enabled us to develop expertise with Western, Great Lakes and Southern species of softwoods marketed throughout the U.S. and Europe. FPD's hardwood sales are built around a complete inventory of West Coast Alder. Our Alder inventory is complemented by Pacific Coast Maple, clear vertical grain Doug Fir, moulding and better Radiata Pine and all grades of Ponderosa Pine boards. With inventory in Rapid City, SD, we are in an ideal location to ship highly mixed trucks for our customers "just-in-time" inventory needs. Our remanufacturing plant gives us the capability to chop, resaw, rip, mould, or repackage per customer request.
