Just Gina's has been locally owned and operated since 1994. We are so proud to serve the Desert Hot Springs community and the surrounding areas. Unfortunately my daughter had made an appointment early morning for the same day with Myiesha
She was so excited to get her hair done and at the last minute she canceled unprofessional in my eyes
Friend of mine also made an appointment not too long ago at the same business and her appointment was also canceled

Terrible experience with the braider Myiesha, absolutely terrible. I make an appointment with her last week and the first red flag was when i was making attempt to contact her and she wouldn’t reply at all, she’d only respond on her time once and wouldn’t be responding to my questions or anything. she canceled the first time the day of the appointment which I understood her reason, we rescheduled for the following day and same thing, cancelled again, but had no communication with me at all, she let me contact her first before even letting me know that she can’t braid my hair that day and

Last year I lost a chunk of hair due to an illness. Gina agreed to cut it down to an extreme twa (teeny weeny Afro). I spent a lot of time crying and wondering if my hair would ever grow back. Then Covid-19 hit and I wasn't able to go to Gina's for hair care. BUT, the reason for my review of Gina today is to tell you that up until COVID-19 Gina worried about not just my hair but my mental well being as a result of so much hair loss. Curtesa did my hair, single braids. She changed the time of my hair appointment the day of, she didn't do them as small as I wanted them so they are now currently all falling out and she is blaming it on how short my natural hair is. Even though i sent her a photo of my natural hair prior to the appointment and she said it was long enough and that " I've been doing this for 18 years" so she knows what she's doing. Cece was super conscientious about everything, reasonably priced, very patient im explaining things to me, and the salon was a wonderful, friendly place to be for the several hours that my new hairdue took. Getting braids was a first for me, and I love the look and I'm really glad that I came in today.

Ms. Gina has been doing my hair for the past 5 years now. I've had very thin and very fine baby like hair for the past 10 years now. I've tried several different types of hair styles, textures, and have had most types of installs.
Bottom line is, you truly get what you pay for. I can't tell you how many times I've had other mobile stylists come to me, ones found through Craigslist, and other marketing sources, only to end up returning to Just Gina's to correct their work.
Regardless of how early she was at work, or how late she was STILL working, she has always been

Omg i can't not say enough good things about this place. i just moved to the valley and was looking for a place to get my hair braided. i stumbled upon this page and decided that i was going to call to make an appt. the lady on the phone was super sweet when i called she told me that one of the braiders would give me a call so i could book my appt. She called me back about ten minutes later and i asked about a day she could get me in and she told me to text her a picture of what i wanted. when i came in they were super friendly and made me feel like family. i had such a good time when i was

Wow! What a great hair experience! Visiting my boyfriend for spring break....called last minute and got me in same day! Came into the shop and what a lovely group of women..very welcoming! Gina is a beautiful energy who looked at me at the end of my service and thanked me for coming to her! And to top it all off, she did an amazing job with my hair! Will absolutely be returning!

Trenetta killed it I have straight silky hair and she braided me up with the perfect size braids I asked for.
She got the hair to stay and the braids were tight and beautiful for over a month!!! I got compliments every where I went and I was more then happy to tell everyone I went to Just Gina's you know it!! Miss Gina is the best and they make sitting for 5 hours in the salon feel so homie can't wait to get my hair braided again..

Gina is absolutely amazing!!!! I have been doing my hair with her for 9 months now and I have no complaints. I usually get a leave out, wash and press.

I love Gina! She worked a miracle in my time of need lol. I was visiting Palm Springs from NYC and I had a hair emergency. I have natural hair and I wear a wig so it was important for me that my stylist knew how to care for African American hair. I found her on Yelp and she squeezed me in the same day. Gina gave me the most amazing wash and scalp massage, braided my hair down (not too tightly because my scalp is sensitive), and washed and curled my wig so beautifully. I left feeling like a new woman. If you're in palm springs or the desert, she's your woman. She also does mani pedis!

Things have to be pretty bad if I take time out of my day to post a negative review on a service I found on yelp. I travel between Los Angeles and the desert. 6 weeks ago I found Gina on yelp she did an average job on my weave, but that's par for the first time. I called her the next day and she knew exactly how to adjust on my next appt. YAY!

Visiting for the holidays my hair was a mess. I was afraid to try to get my hair done being away from my normal stylist. I found Gina on yelp and her reviews were good. I scheduled with her right before NYE she was very sweet and professional. She had me in and out in a hour. She hooked my hair up for a party I was attending. Gina booked an appointment for my daughter to cornrow her hair. One of us got the appointment on the wrong day - I'm pretty sure it was me, but hard to say.
Gina was booked, but worked us in anyway. She did that with grace and kindness, and I'm grateful.
I recommend Just Gina's very highly. If I can get a copy of the pic of she and my daughter, I'll come back and post it here.
The cornrows are lovely - smooth parts, a good length for an 8yo, and not painful for the kiddo.
One thing to note - the front of the store says A Classic Act Hair and Nail Salon. It doesn't say
