Don't expect a restful nights sleep. Paper thin walls. Freaked my dog out too

Staff was quite nice and accommodating.
If you're looking for a place to sleep for the night, this will do. If you're looking for luxury, keep looking. Hard to find at night, had to move a bed over to close bathroom door, very old establishment. Looks like it was built in the 60's and never remodeled. Judging by the rules sheet a lot of miners and construction workers stay here and lead to rules such as "no deep frying in room", "no candles incense open flame"...etc

Completely outdated. Staff is rude and refuses to fix anything. We have to take out our own trash, always asking for fresh towels. The tub/shower is the size of a shoe box and the shower itself is falling apart. Constantly loosing wifi signal and constantly loosing channels randomly. When we tell the front desk we get “ Like I told you I don't know nothing about that. I will let housekeeping know tomorrow”. Definitely would not recommend ANYONE stay here. Its worth to pay more somewhere else.

Tall Pines is dog friendly, clean, and perfect for our first stay in the UP. Had everything needed and spacious for our puppies. Clean sheets, clean bathroom, microwave, mini fridge, tv.

Friendly people running the place, pet friendly and the room was clean enough.
However both beds sagged in the middle. Half of the outside lights were not working and it was very dark, especially while walking the dogs at night. When one outdoor light was turned on a long term customer shut it off 5 minutes later.
I was not comfortable there and while not be going back.

Privately owned hotel, very clean & great accommodating folks operating it, Thank you!
What to expect:
Older cabin like rooms,walls somewhat thin, very clean, no coffee makers in rooms, or in office, no continental breakfast probably due to covid precautions,no fuss check in,beds in rooms are comfortable, but may have dips.

Cheap, quiet, pet friendly, and my room was clean. There is no phone or coffee maker. I don't use those things anyways. Would stay again.

Great little place to stay, I needed a place for a few days because my job got extended. The got me into a room for alot cheaper than everywhere else. Simple, but very clean rooms and very quiet too. I recommend this place for anybody who is traveling for work.

Comfortable rooms abd affordable pricing with availability of discounted weekly rate. A friend stayed here for several months during a time of transition and he was totally satisfied overall. I stopped by several times and support his overall satisfaction considering spacious comfort with friendly staff and fabulous weekly rate!

Simple, clean spaces! I was homeless for about a month and stayed here in the meantime, and I was always comfortable. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. This place will always have a special place in my heart!
