Ashley Law Firm
As a veteran litigator, I know my way around a courtroom. I will aggressively protect your rights and serious criminal and DWI charges, during negotiations with prosecutors and at trial. I understand the system. This knowledge improves your chances of putting this crisis behind you. My name is Steve Ashley, and I have over two decades of broad-based legal experience.

Before starting this office, I founded Ashley Law Firm. There, my legal team diligently served the legal needs of private individuals, local business owners and large corporations in the Odessa, Midland, Permian Basin and Trans-Pecos regions. Now I focus on helping clients in select practice areas.
Services
A serious criminal charge, complex divorce, life-changing injury in an accident or troublesome lawsuit calls for the skilled assistance of an attorney who can serve as your wise adviser and aggressive advocate at all stages of the legal process. As the principal and founder of Steve Ashley, Attorney at Law, I offer a broad knowledge and experience base in Texas law.
Being found guilty of a drug crime, violent crime, sex crime or theft diminishes your rights, curtails your freedoms and clouds your future. Harsh punishments that await you include imprisonment, substantial fines that drain your bank accounts, a criminal record and strict probation or parole conditions upon your release.
Nothing good can come of police stopping you on suspicion of drunk driving. Suddenly all kinds of rights and privileges are at risk. Not only is your Texas driver's license in jeopardy, and your mobile lifestyle along with it; you could also land in jail, be subject to heavy fines and wind up with a criminal record if you caused an accident while driving drunk.
As a legal practice area, family law in Texas and the U.S. has become as sprawling as changes in the family unit. Couples marry and divorce. Children must be cared for, financial support arrangements made. Ownership of marital assets can cause a dispute. Settlement agreements must be revised to reflect sudden, substantial changes in circumstance.
Because of the many emergencies and adjustments that life can demand of us, no divorce is ever really "final." Children grow up, jobs change and so can the health of either parent. It's not uncommon for Texas parents to seek revisions to their Texas divorce decree. A corporate downsize, change in the economy or market can cause a significant change in finances.

Had Mr Ashley for 2 yrs gave him my money 3K never heard from him until I had to call his office and cell. He has never communicated with me & then steals my money and withdraws himself from my case without refunding me and or sending me my documents that was produced in the court. I'm very disappointed & would never recommend this man for anything.

We hired Steve Ashley to represent us in a child visitation case out of Ector County in Aug 2020. We had a mediation hearing in October 23, 2020, and to this date we have not been able to get a straight forward response from Steve Ashley. He has done nothing but given us false hope, excuses, and given us the run around. Steve Ashley has neglected our case by not communicating with us on the status of our case or providing us the information we need. We’ve called, emailed and even went to his office to get the status of our case and he keeps avoiding us. Now we’re going to have to hire another

My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better lawyer in our custody case. Mr. Ashley goes above and beyond... he is spot on, prompt, communicative, and cares. If you are looking for a smart, aggressive lawyer who will fight for your rights, Mr. Ashley is your lawyer!

Not sure how he does with other cases, but if you have a custody matter find someone else. Would go sometimes months without communication or progress being made, refuses to send statements even though contract with him clearly says you will receive monthly statements. Honestly seemed like he was clueless in how to proceed with the case. Had to get a different lawyer to get my case finalized and they did more in 3 months than Steve Ashley did in over a year. Would give 0 stars if I could.

We hired Steve for a child custody case that we got involved in. He kept us in the case when all the other parties wanted us gone. One year later we did win and the kid came home with us. He then help to get my husbands drivers license back after not having one for 26 years. He is very polite and professional and would recommend him to anyone. Thanks again Steve Ashley.

I high recommend Steve Ashley and his Associates. I have known Steve over 24 years (professionally and family); and, most recently needed his "professional services" for an issue that needed investigation (extended family). I worked for his Sister-in-Law in the Prosecutor's Office and have had personal friendships with the family.
Steve's Office Staff was very "prompt in returning my call/inquiry;" and, I was given all the "answers needed in a very timely manner."
I actually was calling Steve for a "referral;" and, he was able to answer all that I needed answered "...immediately." Peace of mind
