So the manager in this place has no customer service 1st of all I come in 30 minutes before my appointment when I was told to be 15 minutes before my appointment young lady comes in 15 minutes after me they take me in the back they take my x-rays than. Employee comes in the back and say oh no we have somebody here waiting before her and they're complaining so I said I wait go ahead and take her then instead of come out and get me when they have the next room available they come get somebody else and then when I say no you can't do that you just sent me back out here because of somebody

The front desk was very friendly, the dentist assistant was amazing. She made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The tooth cleaner was nice but she keep leaving the suction on my lip, I have blisters all over my mouth. The doctor was completely unprofessional. I have a condition because of a fever. I would have changed it if it bothered me long time ago. Instead of asking ooh is this something you want to change? She came and told me this is ugly! People see your teeth when they first meet you and your teeth is not flattering. It really took everything out of me not to teach her about customer service

I want to love Fenton Family Dental and, in fact, I did love the practice when I first moved here 4 1/2 years ago. I chose them because they were Howard grads, and they had good ratings. A variety of experiences since then affect my lower rating. Without detailing all the frustrations that run from gross misinformation to disorganization within the office staff, let me just pose these questions: do they actually train and pay their office staff sufficiently? Don't come here! Billing nightmare! Had a service done they told me my insurance covered, but it did not. THREE YEARS LATER FFD sent me a bill for the service that was over $1k. I called and left messages with the billing department to inquire about the charges and they were completely unresponsive until I got the Maryland Attorney General's office involved. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

It all starts in September 2019. I was 4 months pregnant and one of my molars chipped. My dad raved about their office in Clinton and recommended I give them a call. I went into the office and after a cleaning I was informed I needed to have a crown. This was odd because I had another molar that chipped a couple years before and the dentist gave me a filling and kept it moving. Because I was pregnant they needed authorization from my OB to perform the procedure. When I informed her that they wanted to give me a crown she was surprised because the tooth wasn't bothering me and it seemed weird

I had a routine cleaning done here, but still had plaque left over. It did not feel clean at all, so I had to go to another local dentist to get a proper cleaning.
I also had a root canal and crown done here back in 2016 and over these last 4 years had to get it constantly fixed at another dentist since it was poorly done, and the crown did not fit. I had to go to a root canal specialist to get it redone. The service was overly price for the quality of work.

Do not visit unless you want to have an insurance billing nightmare. They have out of network dentists working there (even though they will tell you their practice is in network- and it is, they just employe out of network dentists and THAT makes a difference) and you don't find this out until after you've been billed and then they will only tell you after you push back on more out of pocket charges that seem incorrect. You will be told to leave a message for a billing department (no live calls, naturally) and your calls will never be returned.

This establishment is criminal! First it was false charges (over billing insurance for services not rendered) and absolute incompetence!
Toussaint is very incompetent and unethical. I advise every customer to review their insurance bill to ensure this establishment is not falsely claiming and billing for services not provided.
I've had to extract the tooth due to infections post root-canal. You will be hearing from me for medical malpractice!

The Silver Spring location has some of the worst customer services I have ever experienced. I have been trying to get them to fax a dental clearance form to my doctor's office for the last two weeks. The first week I was promised a call back a total of four times because the front desk was busy. I patiently waited and no call and apparently the manager is never available. I have been a customer at Fenton for more than two years. On March 16, 2020, I had a routine dental appointment and upon checking out the clerk requested payment; however, upon further research, it was determined I had an overpayment of $689.97. At that time, I requested the overpayment and was advised that she would notify the Office Manager about the refund. Subsequently, from that date to present (3/27/2020), I have not received the overpayment, after numerous text, telephone calls, and the Better Business Bureau's attempt to resolve this matter without success. Excellent dental practice. I've been getting cleanings and other small procedures here since 2013. I appreciate the office hours. They are open late and open early during the week, and are often open on the weekends. Parking is plentiful and free. Every staff member that I've encountered was courteous, empathetic, and competent. I have been seen by several different hygienists and doctors at this practice. They are all good! They are excellent at processing insurance and making sure that you maximize your insurance benefits. This office reminds me of the small town dentist I used to see

It's a well-run establishment and I was initially attracted to the early morning and weekend appointments in addition to the close proximity to my home. However, every time I went there they told me I needed some kind of procedure (a crown, a replacement filling, a root canal) which I agreed to without question because in my 20s I wasn't great with regular dental visits. I always paid half up front and the other half after service and assumed insurance was covering the rest because I never got a bill from them.

My very first visit with them was great. I was in a lot of pain, they took x-rays, discussed some treatment options and gave me antibiotics and pain medicine. They suggested I come back for a cleaning and to discuss with Dr Crawford other options. I came back this past Saturday and not only did Dr Crawford NOT discuss other options with me, he barely said two words to me except "yep, this needs to be done. It will be costly though so we will follow up". The entire time the billing manager (I assume because I never got her title but she did discuss payments with me) was in the room. I

They’re only interested in making money and not your oral health. The owners are scam artists ! I have mixed feelings about this establishment. My daughter and I were new patients and had appointments yesterday and the team was able to service the both of us at the same time. The staff was friendly, but there are a few things that I was kind of displeased with.
The lady who did my x-rays absolutely did not know what she was doing. I went to do my stand up x-ray and she had no clue how to put the cover/shield on me. She tried several ways, and finally another associate came over and told her she had the wrong size and had to put it on for me. When I finally placed my teeth on the x-ray tray

I decided to come back to Fenton Family Dental even though they are not on my dental insurance plan. Dr. Crawford is really committed to his practice and takes a lot of pride in their work--I was excited to see that they are expanding and have addressed some of the challenges they were facing before.
Things that are awesome:
--Lasting Quality of Work: Dr. Crawford did a crown for me in 2011 and it still looks/feels great. When my current dental work was screwed up by a different dentist, I trust him to be able to do the repair.
--Easy to Get Appointment: I was able to make an evening appointment

My husband hadn't been to a dentist in a long while and after he complained about tooth pain for a while and it started to look like it might have an abscess I forced him to go. Fenton was able to get us a same day emergency appointment with Dr. Park. Dr. Park and the staff were incredibly accommodating as my husband insisted I stay with him during the exam as his advocate (he does the same for me).
They were able to deal with the initial problem and have set him up for a long term treatment plan. Dr. Park explains everything in layman's terms for us and what a realistic result will
