I worked at a place where they use ProService as their HR and payroll services. My experience with them was HORRIBLE. First of all, the lady who called me to finalize my hiring paperwork could not even pronounce the name of the company, second of all, she was unaware that all the documents and ID's I provided them was sufficient for onboard hiring. Then, when I went to my old work place to pick up my stuff, I asked the manager about my paycheck and she told me ProService handles that, so I called them and the phone just rang and rang and rang and rang - no answer. FINALLY, I decided to leave

One would think that a company that bills itself as a "Professional HR services" company would be able to function effectively in the HR realm. Not so for ProService Hawaii. I recently tried to navigate the hiring process of this company because I was interested in a position that they had posted. I am not upset in the slightest that I was not selected for the position, in fact by the time they had made a decision I had already moved on, and based upon my interactions with this unreliable company I would not have accepted the position had they offered it to me. Through NO FAULT of the company I worked for, my last 3 paychecks have been messed up.
The first one was supposed to be mailed to the Cafe I worked for, but was mailed to my home address instead, after my boss emailed to confirm that my check would be mailed to the Cafe. It took six days after my payday to receive rather 1st check, which ProService hand delivered to my account.
My second paycheck was supposed to be direct deposited, but it was not. Supposedly, my checking account has an additional number on the end that caused the kickback. Again, they hand delivered my check to my account

Brought Hubby here for his appointment to set up his payroll because finally going back work. Starting new construction job with a different company because his other job didn't have work due to COVID. This company that handles the payroll must be taking out a lot of money from his pay check. He use to make more money before at his other job which isn't too good when you gotta pay them bills cause they racking up. Hopefully he is going to get paid the correct amount. Guess gotta get used to the new system or he getting cheated out of his money.

Very disappointing. Always a discrepancy with payroll. Paychecks not deposited. My husband has worked for a company that uses Proservice and every year there are always issues. At least 3 per year. Don't employ their services. I spoke with my husband and have mad many suggestions on using another service. I may get my way this year if I grumble to the right people.

Very awesome, solid team of people - they make so many resources available to us and do a lot of the work that we frankly don't have time to do ourselves. They are extremely attentive and reponsive to our needs, continuing going above and beyond our expectations. If you need help with HR, Safety, Worker's Comp, Health Insurance, etc. we HIGHLY recommend them!

I visited their main office at Hawaii Kai Towne Center.
A lot of the staff at this location are young and hip and possibly just graduate college so if youre looking for experienced staff you might not find it here.
ProService has some cool employee perks that I was thinking of utilizing so I was seeking more information. One of the perks was free movie tickets but dont be deceived its actually a long process - Something about theyll reimburse you back into your check, blah blah blah.

Asking for a packet for new employees

Their website sucks! The web page doesn't fit properly on the page so sometimes you can't even see the link to print your check Stub! Or to view it in its entirety! Can't believe that after having been around for some time now, they haven't taken steps to upgrade their technology. Too bad my company doesn't use ADR instead

6 months to get a claim paid. They keep losing the paperwork or let it sit for months and then when I ask about the status they either not call me back or say they received the claim on the same day I asked the status. I have no idea who I'm supposed to talk to as the claims adjuster keeps changing, I don't know what office is handling these claims. One of the most frustrating experiences I've had trying to get paid. If something doesn't happen soon I will have to file a case in small claims court.

They are the fastest payroll service I've ever encountered. My calls and queries to both their Hawaii Kai office and downtown office regarding my pay and taxes and health insurance are taken very seriously and quickly. All staff are super friendly, prompt and professional. I've never been put on hold for more than a few seconds before an HR/Benefits or other staff takes my call and gets me to answers I needed about deductions or taxes, etc.

ProService is the contractor providing human resources and benefits services for my employer an assisted living chain. They come almost monthly for inservice presentations. But: I got a letter from "ProHealth Hawaii" which is operated from this same Kalanianaole Highway office. It seems ProHealth's role is to tell us about perks such as health presentations and "free premium health services." I nearly threw away the letter because I thought someone sold my information to them! (Note the small print on the bottom which says it is an affiliate of ProService.)

As an employee of a business who employs ProService, I was turned on to a few benefits. One of those being discounted movie tickets! Since I am in the HKTC every week, I figured I would stop by to inquire about these famed tickets!
The lady at the front, Brie, was absolutely amazing. She greeted me immediately and with a warm smile! She was patient and answered all my questions, printed off necessary paperwork, and even expedited my order.
The 5 stars are indeed mainly for Brie!! I can only hope the other ProService employees are as great as she was. I'm sure I'll be stopping in occasionally

I've dealt with other outsourced HR companies on the island and ProService was the worst out of them. They don't respond to emails through their website. Everytime our work has tried to fax paperwork they never seem to get them. I would recommend looking at the other reviews that were not approved to get the full scope of how well they are. These two stars are for Kapo who does a great job and everytime I have needed help she has responded promptly or was able to find someone who could answer my question.

Solid, reliable, timely and accurate. I use ProService for two offices. They process my payroll, manage my workers' compensation, health care benefits and provide my annual trainings for CPR and blood borne pathogens. They do all the administrative HR stuff for my business which frees up my time to focus on building my business.
