Services
Adirondack Health is a modern health care system located in the heart of the Adirondacks - a six-million-acre park with sprawling mountains and glistening lakes. The welcoming communities are a great place to raise a family and provide endless opportunities for hiking, biking, cross-country and downhill skiing, swimming, fishing, kayaking, climbing, camping and so much more in the great outdoors.
As part of HIXNY, Adirondack Health uses a patient portal to give patients access online to their medical records. The patient portal facilitates better communication with your physician's office by providing secure and convenient access from the comfort and privacy of your own home or office. Our health centers offer an independent patient portal using their electronic medical record software, e ClinicalWorks (eCW).
The Foundation welcomes gifts in support of Adirondack Health to meet our many needs including the purchase of cutting-edge medical equipment and supplies, in support of healthcare programs that serve the community including wellness and prevention education, to upgrade and expand facilities and to provide continuing education for our healthcare team.
In an emergency, our experienced medical teams are ready to give high-quality care in a quick and efficient manner. Adirondack Health has emergency centers in Lake Placid and Saranac Lake staffed by our trained teams of emergency doctors, physician assistants and nurses. The emergency department in Lake Placid operates from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
The Lake Placid Health and Medical Fitness Center aims to create a healthier community through medical fitness. This new, world-class facility allows Adirondack Health's staff to provide preventative care through fitness, rehabilitation and wellness programs. The Lake Placid Health and Medical Fitness Center accommodates growth in all our Lake Placid services while giving top priority to the comfort, convenience and privacy of patients.

Had an absess big as a golf ball. This place ran a million tests, sedated me, operated and kept me for 2 days. Cost 10,000. It happened again and they tried to make a ton off me again. I left and went to another place who popped it in 5 min. Would not recommend for anything beyond routine stuff. They must really need money because I think they are scamming.

I was a tourist in the Adirondacks when I had a massive flare up of a problem I have with my jaw. The triage person asked a few questions, didn't obtain any vitals and never asked if I had any allergies-which I do. I only waited a few minutes to go back. Was taken to a hallway bed, which I understand how full ERs can be. The doctor came to see me before the ER RN did. He listened to what was going on and examined me for about a minute and left. He ordered prednisone and oxy. I wasn't interested in the oxy, just something to take the inflammation away and something slightly stronger than advil.

I was a patient today on 10/1, I was seen by the emergency room department, Both the Nurse Jason, and Dr Werblin M.D made this experience very pleasant. Especially for someone with severe anxiety. not to go into detail, as my visit was ending Dr Werblin made a point to ask me how I was doing otherwise, the thoughtfulness of his memory of past visits and complications gives alot of reassurance that the care he provides is really meaningful, and puts such warmth inside the mind and soul. He is definitely a one of a kind Doctor.

I wish I could give 10 stars. I am from NYC...Brooklyn. First off the ambulance came literally 5 minutes after being called. The EMT lady Jodie was phenomenal. Just sweet to the core. She talked to me and treated me like a human. Then the hospital staff were awesome. The RN was just down to the core, polite. She made conversation...she told me what was next. The doctor Justin...I literally saw him 20 minutes after arriving. He spoke with me...prescribed. and discharged. He didn't try to run me ragged and keep me long hours to generate a nice bill. He was just direct and he spoke in a way that I
