Comprehensive estate planning covers nearly every aspect of life. It begins with protecting yourself and your personal dignity, and extends to protecting your loved ones and your hard-earned assets. Asset protection requires careful planning. Threats to your assets can come from a wide variety of potential predators, including future creditors and unnecessary taxes.
Many of our clients say, "I am never going into a nursing home." But, statistically, if you are single and over age 65, there is a 50% chance of a stay in a long-term-care facility, and a married couple has a 70% chance of one of them spending some time in a nursing home or other long-term-care facility.
For many, it is difficult to imagine being incapacitated, let alone plan for it. Folks don't believe they (or their loved one) will ever require care beyond that which their family can provide. Unfortunately, that just isn't true. Chances are, we will all will require long-term care at some point in our lives.

The staff at Stapleton Elder Law is knowledgeable, capable and compassionate. The firm exceeded all expectations in creating our wills, medical directives, access to veteran benefits and most importantly my 94 year old mother's Medicaid application. I believe the approval of her Medicaid application was due to Simon Stapleton's expertise and dedication, as well as his standing in the elder community. I highly recommend Stapleton Elder Law for any elder services you may need.

My family and I had an amazing experience with the entire team at Stapleton Elder Law when my father became sick and had to go into a nursing home. The service was top notch and they were extremely helpful in supporting us through the Medicaid application process; and setting up an asset protection trust for the future in case any other family members have to deal with a similar situation down the road. I highly recommend Stapleton Elder Law.

Amazing law practice!!! Highly recommend for the daunting task of applying for Medicaid. Every question was answered quickly, usually within the hour. Our loved one was approved as quickly as the process allows. The staff could not be more helpful and caring about your case.

This practice was incredible to us as we dealt with all things related to my mother’s estate. Jeannie was kind enough to explain everything in detail and so patient as we worked to understand all of it. Everyone was so knowledgeable and kind to us during such a hard time and I will be forever grateful.

Words cannot express the overwhelming amount of gratitude we feel for Stapleton Elder Law. We worked with them through my mother in laws battle with Alzheimer's which ultimately lead to her passing. There were many obstacles to get through this and the staff were incredibly patient and gracious during such a difficult time. Dealing with the death of a loved one is hard in itself but adding the pressures of closing out the estate and dealing with Medicare is truly something nobody can prepare you for. We would not have been able to come out of this in the great place we did if it wasn't for all

My wife and I selected Simon Stapleton's practice for our eldercare needs several years ago. Once Simon's organizational financial plans for us were complete, we were bit reticent in following his guidance because I was lazy. We did finally "move the dime" and complete all of the documents Simon had prepared. Once done, we were overwhelmed at how well everything fell into place. Our situation was quite complex because of blended families, complex trusts, and every type of investment product under the sun. I am a retired certified financial planner but I could never have accomplished what Simon

Until I attended a seminar given by Simon Stapleton in late 2019, I believed myself to be in good shape with my Will, Advanced Directive and Revocable Living Trust, which had all been updated in 2017.
However, in this seminar I soon realized that I was vulnerable on many fronts; it was a bit of a shock, because I had not previously understood the difference between the Revocable Trust and the Asset Protection Trust. I was also reminded that having nothing but simple Will, regardless of how inclusive or recently-crafted, is next to useless in any number of situations.

Simon and his staff were very knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful. They educated us about the process beforehand. They also had our best interests in mind every step of the way. My family is very happy and grateful to Simon and his practice for all of their help during this process.

It has been a pleasure dealing with Simon over the years. Every time we have needed something, he listened carefully, asked questions to fully understand, then he would give us his legal opinion about our option with the pro and cons of each issue and then helped us make a decision that we felt was in our best interest. Never was there any pressure to make an quick decision or one that we were not completely comfortable with.
