In 1955, a group of visionary builders saw the need to form a local organization dedicated to advancing the home building industry. Their aspirations and hard work paved the way for the chartering of Home Builders Association of Northeast Louisiana, with affiliations with Louisiana Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, DC.
Today, Home Builders Association of Northeast Louisiana (HBA of NELA) is a non-profit (501C 6) trade organization covering a 13 parish area, focusing on Ouachita Parish and its surrounding communities. We have become a powerful voice in legislative affairs both locally and statewide. Members include builders, developers, remodelers, manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, attorneys.
