A native born Californian, Derek Aguilera started his artistic career at a young age and his work has expanded in both technique and scale since then. His paintings are large, starting at 48" x 60" progressing to as large as 120" x 120". Using oils and acrylics, they are contemporary in design and often use mixed media to add textural complexity to the paintings.
