What is Mental Health? We all want good mental health, but just what does mental health mean? That's almost a trick question because mental health means different things to different people. It is sometimes described as a state of emotional well-being. But we all have times when we feel a bit overwhelmed by all of life's ups and downs.
Michael has been the Director of Children's Services since 1992 and developed the System of Care for Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) children and their families in Crawford County. Amy began her career as a mental health technician at the Addiction Treatment Center (ATC) and Women's Renewal House.
A supportive service that is provided on an individual basis per consumers needs. This can be 1 hour to 24 hours per day if necessary. Prevention of hospitalization or out-of-home placement is implicit in the definition of attendant care, whether provided for purposes of prevention, maintenance, reintegration, therapy, or crisis intervention.
One-on-one direct supervision and/or service of SED children who are at-risk for out-of-home placement in the child's home or other community settings by a trained attendant. Gather necessary background information; followed by clinical interview with mental status exam, diagnosis; determine medically necessary services, and appropriate referrals to recommended services for all children 0 to 18 years old.
