Always a visionary, Larry F. Reber, President, designed the first vacuum apparatus specifically for fire service at the request of a local department.

He and Rebecca Reber started Reberland Equipment Inc. in 1974 selling and servicing farm equipment along with light commercial products. In 1985, New Pittsburg, Ohio Fire Department requested that we build a vacuum unit on their present chassis, a 1971 (IH) Loadstar. Larry's approach to fire service was unencumbered by the paradigms of the past.

Always a visionary, Larry F. Reber, President, designed the first vacuum apparatus specifically for fire service at the request of a local department. He and Rebecca Reber started Reberland Equipment, Inc. in 1974 selling and servicing equipment in the agricultural and industrial markets. In 1985, New Pittsburg Fire Department in Ohio requested that we build a vacuum unit on their present chassis, a 1971 HI loadstar.
This unit is loaded with features. The Department supplied a Military M1088 chassis on which was built a 2000 gallon polished aluminum vacuum tank, 500 GPM fire pump, and vacuum pump which were both hydraulically driven. As many compartments as possible were built from aluminum providing 50 square feet of storage.
We are proud to announce the delivery of a brand new Hawk QP to Montebello Fire Department in Montebello, VA! This truck is a 2,100 gallon Hawk QP vacuum tanker with a 750 GPM Darley KSP pump on a 400HP International HV507 4x4.

Additional features include a polished aluminum tank, a Firovac Power Fold Down Double Portable Tank Bracket, two 2,250 gallon portable tanks, a tray above the tank bracket for two extra sections of 6" suction hose, a full high side with partial high side hose storage capable of holding 500' of 3" lay flat hose, ladder tray above the high side, lower compartments on each side including a transverse rear compartment, Akron Brass Bumper Turret, and 3 air-operated water valves.
For alternative water sources just out of reach for regular fire trucks pumper/tanker 1912 can do the draft and dump set up to supply up to 450 GPM to the attack pumper. Respond to this post if you have any questions. We have officially put into service a new 2020 Firovac 2,600-gallon tanker at the beginning of June.
