I just want to say what great customer service that Benjamin provided at this store. I had purchased a display model grill the evening before and didn't realize that a couple of parts was missing until I got home. Benjamin went way out of the way to make sure that everything was right. Best customer service person ever.

I like the simplicity of the store and the ease of getting what you need. Yes selection is limited but that is the key. Grab the basics and get out. I really enjoy this store and the great prices.

Been a bit since that last review, and it's obvious someone was paying attention, because the store is well run and managed. Still a good go to when I want to stock up.

When you live in the Shaw district and need something fast this is the place to go! Bring a bag because you will need one! And why not be green!

The prices are decent. However, the service is often slow (not enough cashiers).

It is a great discount grocery store. The milk has been less than a dollar for several months now. Really the only issue I have about the place is the restroom needs updated and clean. Unfortunately I have used it many times and it reminds me of a old gas station bathroom.

I love shopping at Ruler Foods because they are a sister store of Kroger and I grew up with Kroger foods, living in Columbus. So having the opportunity to still eat good quality food for less, in a smaller city like this, is wonderful to us!

I enjoy this store. I can use my Krogers card and coupons so it's like a win win...and the brands are some of Krogers brands..just marked down way lower and I always save. There is no expired food that you have to buy in order to get the lower price. Love it!

Generally as a chain I like the store because they offer discounted organic products, but today I went to the one on grand and it was nothing nice. They don't seem to really have much of anything in comparison to the one off of St. Charles rock Road.

They were out of several items I specifically went here for. Cashier wasn't rude per se, but no smile, no thank you, etc. I will not be returning to this location. The one on elm st is much better stocked, cashiers are friendlier, cleaner and better lit.

Terrible employees. Lock doors half an hour early and tell you they are closed and to go away. Unprofessional and would never come back.

The prices are amazing. Never had any problems with anything I have purchased from Ruler. Workers are great! The only downfall is that the restrooms are not always the ckeanest.

This store is on Grand right by Tower Grove Park, and is at the intersection of Magnolia and Grand Avenue. This store is owned and a subsidiary, I guess, of Kroger because the house brand of Ruler Foods is the Kroger brand. I later found out that it's owned and operated by the same corporate company that owns Kroger grocery stores. It's a box, bulk type of set up where the merchandise is set up on their shelves with the boxes cut open to show the merchandise. It's kinda like a Aldi's store, but Aldi's is much nicer than Ruler Foods.

This store is set up kinda like most

I have been wanting to try out ruler foods for awhile. I'm not an Aldis fan because of many reasons, but a co worker shops regularly at rulers. She pops this movie theater popcorn that's from there ( krogers brand) & it's probably the best store bought popcorn I've had. I was searching for a 3 cheese ranch dressing to make this bow tie pasta salad & I was having difficulty finding it, after Internet search, rulers was supposed to have it, but they didn't. I ended up getting some nice priced bacon, & popcorn. I had already done my grocery shopping the day

If they bulked up their produce section with more seasonal offerings and fresh herbs, I would immediately switch over to this store for all my needs. As it stands this store is better for the occasional pantry refill.

Love ruler foods since it has opened. It has a bigger selection than aldi and it is usually less crowded. Misses a star because the produce is not anything special. The potatoes, onions, and apples are small. Typically I will get all my groceries there and go somewhere else entirely for produce.

They have manager specials, look out for those!

Very pleased with this spot! Much better than the neighborhood Aldis. Same feel, but cleaner, better variety, and better service. Best price on milk in town! Plus, moving to the Lou from TN, I love Kroger products. Very, very impressed.

It's a great local grocery store for the essentials at a low cost. Clean and very friendly staff. Don't forget your quarter and your bags and you'll be ok. Brie cheese and hummus are super cheap.

Spacious
Great customer service
Much like Aldi but not so packed in & crowded
Quarter for a cart
Dime for a large durable bag
Closeout bin by register has great buys
Seems all items as cheap as Sam's Club. (Eggs, milk, chicken breasts)

I had a package that leaked on my other items. Cashier was empowered to make it right by discounting another item. Not expected nor asked for. Very nice that they cared & went above and beyond.

I only have one complaint. Some able bodied people use the electric carts for the disabled. Management should direct cashiers to refuse

When they first moved into the neighborhood, I was saving close to $60 each week on my grocery bill, but over the last couple months, they've inched up their prices on all of the items people are really wanting to save money on ie, meats, cheeses, paper products. I had hoped this store would be an alternative to Aldi, but it has become more of an "in addition to" kind of place. They still have the best milk prices in town and the only acceptable Velveeta alternative. It's a bummer because I really liked being able to shop at one store instead of running around town getting my

Majority of items are store brand (Kroger) and great quality for very cheap prices- you pay a quarter for a cart which you get back when you return the cart, similar to Aldi's. Great addition to the neighborhood!

So glad this moved in the neighborhood! VERY similar vibe to Aldi. They have a pretty standard selection - lots of well-priced produce (not an extensive selection but plenty of good stuff). The staff go out of their way to help and have been very kind. If they don't have something you're looking for, they welcome the feedback. We've had friends request items and very quickly Ruler started carrying those items. Don't be put off by the 80s-era branding outside - it's a clean and easy place to swing by!
