Anna's Bananas Daycare & Preschool was established in November of 1999, by David and Anna Achtenberg, the parents of four beautiful children: Ashlee, Vincent, and twins Braxton & Beau. David and Anna wanted to make a difference in the childcare world by offering a unique kind of quality care.
David and Anna wanted to create not only a safe, learning and loving environment, but they also wanted to make true friendships and relationships with each family that entrusted them with their children.They knew this trust was imperative to truly provide the best care possible.

Our before and after school school-age program focuses on supporting your child's education. We provide a homework area to help make your child's studies easier, and we encourage teamwork and problem solving throughout the classroom. The school-age classroom is very spacious including a homework room for independent or group study and a separate cubby and coatroom for each child to organize their personal belongings.

Our boys have been attending Anna's Bananas Daycare & Preschool in Apple Valley since 2012 and I truly can't say enough good things about our experience. Both boys love their teachers and friends. As a first time parent, Anna's Bananas Daycare & Preschool helped coach us through each milestone, from sleeping patterns, to eating habits, to being able to hold their own bottles.

Anna’s is awesome! Both my 1 and 3 year old LOVE going to see their teachers and friends every day. Anna’s provides great opportunities to learn important new developmental skills in every classroom and the teachers really take the time to get to know each individual child. I can see my kids growing and learning something new each day! I also really enjoy that Baby Bananas has a warm cozy nursery feel specifically for infants, which is a great stepping stone to the older age groups and preschool at Anna’s Bananas. Anna’s has been a great fit for our family!

I have had the pleasure of seeing Anna's Bananas Daycare and Preschool on many different levels over the duration of almost 5 years.
As a parent, my daughter started as an infant and just graduated preschool. She was challenged and reached milestones each year she attended the center. My children 4 years and 18 months old, have been going to Anna’s Bananas since my oldest was 6 months old. When we were having a second child we knew we wanted to keep our children at Anna’s. For one, my daughter has made so many friends. You can see the love the teachers have for their students when I pick up my children. It always amazes me how the teachers are so calm with kids being kids and the energy they have. We have been bringing our children to Anna's Bananas for over 6 yrs and both our daughters love it! The teachers are kind and fun. The
daily connect is wonderful to see what our daughter did throughout the day. We love it too- we like that they are a preschool as well and are preparing my children for kindergarten . They are also accommodating with our schedules. We would recommend this place.

My daughter has attended Anna's Bananas in Burnsville since she was 2 years old. She is now 5 and going to start Kindergarten in the Fall. I cannot imagine a better place for her to be during the day while her father and I are at work. We know she is safe with the secured entry system they have in place. The itinerary has given our daughter an established routine and offered her so much exploration and imagination. The impact that the teachers at Anna's Bananas has on our child is witnessed every day. She is challenged daily. As a result, her knowledge, language, physical, and emotional development have exploded! I also know that she is loved and cherished by each of her teachers. Daycare drop off is by no means the hardest part of our day - and that is in large part to the wonderful environment that Anna's Bananas has created. Our Granddaughter has been going to Anna Bananas for over three years and she loves it! The staff is friendly, energetic, and patient. We get to see her daily activities, monitor her meals / snacks and naps through the DailyConnect app. The teachers / aids engage the children with fun, learning activities that leave them excited to learn more. Our daughter has been going to Anna’s since she was 3 months old. I love how calm the “Baby Bananas” rooms are and how sweet the staff are. I appreciate that they send updates and photos through an app so I can check on her throughout the day. Now that she’s in the toddler room, she’s always learning and playing. They play outside and in the gym, make art, dance and sing, and learn sign language and words.
