According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, every child should see a dentist by the time they get their first tooth. The first dental visit should take place no later than the child's first birthday. Helping your child get into the habit of regular dental visits early in life will set positive dental habits that will extend into adulthood.
Rachel has been working in the dental field for five years. Rachel received her bachelors degree in psychology and history from Queens College. Rachel is patient and caring and loves working with children. Her goal is to ensure that every child leaves our office happy and excited to come back. Her duties include scheduling patients, billing, and helping navigate through dental insurances.

Around the ages of 6 or 7 years old, the two common emergencies are: tooth pain and double teeth. Both are signs of normal tooth development. A child who experiences a first loose tooth may be scared and describe the weird feeling as painful. If the child is in discomfort, come see Dr. Kimmy to help "wiggle" the tooth.

Dr. Kimmy was amazing with my 4.5 year old. My daughter was so afraid of going to the dentist since the last dentist appointment she went to she ran out! She was so gently with her and made her feel so comfortable. Dr kimmy got the job done quickly and smoothly. It happened so fast my daughter didn’t even notice! Dr Kimmy is amazing! She’s super patient and sweet. She managed to make my anxious daughter feel calm and comfortable. Not only does she have wonderful bedside manners but she is actually a great Pediatric Dentist! Her work is top notch! Also- her staff is awesome, and office is so kid friendly with tons of options for kids to play/watch/color, etc.

I took my kids to Dr. Kimmy last week for the first time. From a clean, brightly colored waiting room, helpful staff and a "prize box" to provide incentive to antsy kids, the overall experience was very… pleasant. Dr. Kimmy herself was very friendly to the kids, and very patiently explained the importance of brushing and flossing to my 3 and 4 year old without "talking down" to them. The kids were happy and are looking forward to going back in six months!

Dr. Kimmy and her staff are the best!! Dr. Kimmy is so kind and patient and knows just how to make my kids feel at ease. She explains things in the perfect way! Her staff is also fantastic.
