Services
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Rhode Island and founder of OMpowerment Psychotherapy, a space for PRACTICAL mindfulness-based psychotherapy. I specialize in helping ambitious, productivity-focused people who struggle with slowing down (even though they know that they should).
Clients come to me with a variety of challenges but ultimately have one common goal: to feel more CONFIDENT, more PEACEFUL, and more FULFILLED. This might require you to learn how to manage life stress and emotions more effectively, how to recover from and prevent burnout, and how to stop SNEAKY self-sabotaging behaviors like people-pleasing and being "too nice."
Sometimes therapy is the best fit, and some clients who seek out therapy actually want more concrete guidance to problem-solve life + business struggles. Making the correct choice for you up-front can save you valuable time and get you faster results. To help yourself do that, give this blog post about Therapy vs. Coaching a quick read.
I recommend Nikolai because she provides specialized Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy. When I began seeing her, I was in a terrible state mentally. Through our sessions, Nikolai fully understood and grasped things that I was very unsure of within myself. She does very well through relating to what I have gone through and by providing analogies and strategies to help me cope.
As a therapist who is also a life + career coach, I often get asked: "what's the difference?" I've said it before and I'll say it again: for many people the holiday season is an exciting time of year. It provides an opportunity to reconnect with friends and family. To celebrate. To give to those who matter most to us, and to be generous to those who struggle.
