Saint Michael The Archangel Regional Catholic Academy
Established in 2013, St. Michael Academy is the first Catholic high school in the Little Traverse area since 1972, and the region's only Classical high school. SMA strives to develop the next generation of American leaders by promoting a culture of excellence and instilling its students with the classical virtues of wisdom, temperance, courage, and justice, along with the Christian virtues of faith, hope, and love.

Our 4800 meter relay team of Sam Paga, Seth Bragg, Micah Bragg, and Hammond Law wins the first State Championship in school history! Please join us in praying the Memorare for St. Michael Academy DAILY, confident that through the marvelous graces and intercessions of our Blessed Mother, our school will continue to thrive and grow!
Services
To nurture and elevate a new generation of joyful leaders, educated in the classical tradition and truth of the Catholic faith. Inspired by Saint Pope John Paul II, our academy motto is Fides et Ratio, Faith and Reason.

We seek to cultivate both of these gifts from God within our students, with the goal of producing "smart saints" who can spread their faith among their fellow man, and defend it intelligently in the public square - all with the strength and courage exhibited by our namesake, St. Michael the Archangel.
It is my honor to welcome you to St. Michael Academy, northern Michigan's only Classical Catholic high school, where we work to cultivate a new generation of smart saints formed in the classical tradition and the truth of the Catholic Church. Thank you for your interest in our exceptional school. Please let us know what we can do to make "SMA" the academic and spiritual home for your family!
At St. Michael Academy, an uncommon vision for our future requires an uncommon learning model for our students, one that is consistent with our Christian faith and principles and that is deep, rich, and broad.

It must encompass mathematics, science, languages, the humanities, and the fine arts - in other words the liberal arts and sciences that make up the traditional Trivium (grammar, logic, rhetoric) and Quadrivium (mathematics, geometry, astronomy, and music). These attributes are the essence of what today has come to be known as the classical model of education.
At St. Michael Academy, faith and reason meet harmoniously in all our classes, including the sciences, as they did long ago when the first European schools and universities were formed under the auspices of the great Monasteries of Christendom. It is a very recent intellectual phenomenon, and one that is fraught with great controversy, to claim, for example, that modern science cannot coexist with Christianity.
St. Michael Academy offers a unique, yet time-honored, approach to education through its Integrated Classical Catholic Curriculum. Our students enjoy a cohesive, content-rich education that exposes them to a variety of disciplines and fields of inquiry. Below is a description of the major components of our curriculum, along with an overview of the specific disciplines and courses our students are asked to investigate and master.

St. Michael Academy has delivered, above and beyond our expectations. Our son loves the Classical Curriculum, learning Philosophy, Theology, Classical Literature and more. He loves the Socratic-teaching method, where classes are open-discussion, and all opinions matter. An amazing faculty, young, energized and engaging, under terrific leadership.
We were pleased to meet, like-minded parents at St. Michael's, who really care about this generation and all the outside influences, these kids are up against. It's a super group of young people, who are truly being groomed as future leaders. Our son is
