Manu Antiques
Manu Antiques is a predominant online source of Hawaiian and other Polynesian art, artifacts, antiques, and collectibles. The Mark Blackburn Gallery, which opened its doors in the summer of 2017, is our brick-and-mortar space in downtown Honolulu. Established in Hilo in 1995, Mauna Kea Galleries evolved into Manu Antiques.

A longtime passion for owners Mark and Carolyn Blackburn, the gallery is well known throughout the world for its vast inventory of rare objects. Mark Blackburn has authored many books including Hawaiiana: The Best of Hawaiian Design, Tattoos From Paradise, Hula Girls and Surfer Boys 1870-1940, Hula Heaven: The Queen's Album, and Surf's Up: Collecting the Longboard Era.

Great place with an amazing selection and a very helpful staff. They answered all my emails and questions I had. Their collection of Hawaiian artwork is incredible.

I've had good experiences with this business in person, but the website is a joke.

Do not trust any of the posted prices. I ordered a print that was listed for $35 off the website, and received a confirmation email, telling me the print would be shipped when they returned from the holiday weekend.

Two days later, Manu Antiques sent me an email with an attached PayPal invoice. Apparently even though they had already confirmed the order, they decided that the listing was incorrect and they needed $40 more dollars. They claim the price was wrong on the website. Now, the email they sent telling

EDIT: I am writing this edit on behalf of my aunt and uncle who were recently at the downtown gallery. I recommended the gallery to them because of the manager who'd helped me before. They've informed me that she's no longer with the gallery and that there's an older woman in her place. I think they said her name is Diane or Diana and that she made them incredibly uncomfortable and doesn't seem to know much about their own merchandise.
They said to clarify that's she's not, by any means, rude. They did say that she was discussing her personal life with them in-depth and they're just not comfortable
